try to implement a rule like "if GT has this particular item, sellers are not allowed to sell that item." But GT sells almost everything every members own... doesn't that rule nulls the existence of the trading/selling idea? Anyhoo since the planned move was changed to total reboot then why not... some forums just apply auto removal of old and untouched threads but if this is not available in Proboards then why not... we all need a fresh start but not a new place anyway...

But GT sells almost everything every members own... doesn't that rule nulls the existence of the trading/selling idea? yes, almost everything, but not everything. just my little opinion, if the F/S items of GT forums competes with Malvin's GT stores' items, wouldn't it be detrimental to him? instead of member's buying from Malvin (which is additional sales for GT), the member's will just buy in the F/S. Additional sales is always good for brick and mortar stores. GT forums F/S sections is a privilege given by Malvin, not a right. i just suggest trying to make the F/S section a non-competitor to GT's brick and mortar store sales.

there's nothing we can do to the F/S thread...and besides..those are mostly 2nd hand items that are being sold at F/S...I know what you want to happen but to be honest the only items we can sell here if we try that suggestion are the "limited","exclusive" and "Rare" items which I know nobody wanna sell and I know sir malvs already getting exclusive items as well like those Busou Shinki MKII set..

GT forums F/S sections is a privilege given by Malvin, not a right. i just suggest trying to make the F/S section a non-competitor to GT's brick and mortar store sales. I believe Sir Malvs knows the Pros and Cons of allowing this section thus he wanted it closed already. There's been an abuse of the system and that's a Con that cannot be addressed directly because of the anonymity of the members. Like all other forums, you don't know what the trends will do thus you just have to act on it the best way you can. In this case closing the For Sale and Wanted Sections... With or without GT, people will always have a way to Buy, Sell or Trade their items. It's a tough competition online and offline specially in this tough economy. That's why a Total Reboot of GT is needed, but not to a new place or re-register an old account. You can never control who will join the forums because of anonymity (he/she can always use a different nick and email address) and barring someone to join is discriminatory. Checking out what stocks GT is offering will either be a tedious task the seller must face or GT has to evaluate every post before it becomes available for public viewing similar to what Ayos Dito is doing. Whether Sir Malvs allows the Buy/Sell/Trade Section to exist on next reboot is his prerogative. As you mentioned, it's a privilege he has offered, thus he has all the right to remove that. Then we will know how the reboot will affect GT Forums... Personally, I get my stuff from GT and I always make it a point to check the Greenhills store before checking other shops. And you don't get better prices other than at GT. I may not be an extravagant buyer but who can compare to GT... My only qualm would be a bigger and more spacious shop in Greenhills... really... GT Forums is a place to socialize with people of the same hobby anyway, and a little trading on the side doesn't hurt...

I suggest also changing the default color scheme and background of the boards to something more like Greattoys and not a generic fan forum.
