We would like to have all GreattoysOnline.com Message Board Member's input on the possible transfer of the message board from proboards to our own system integrated by our GreattoysOnline.com website.
ADVANTAGES:
- Better integration, presentation and links between the articles, photo gallery, announcements etc with the post / comments by other board members.
- More flexibility on the contents that we can post on the message board.
DISADVANTAGES:
- All the threads and topics collected in the past years cannot be migrated to the new message board.
- All users will have to re-register with the new message board.
We would like to hear your input on the discussion thread below.

maybe if you can somehow save the forums in the old forum just for reference and just lock it so no one can no longer post in it. that will be great.

If this migration would benefit the members, greattoysonline, and the toy hobby community. Then IMHO it's another great step or improvements for greattoys service.
As for the topics in proboards collected in the past years... maybe "I know, It's a tedious job for the moderator's" they can somehow or in someway copy-and-paste only those interesting topics... and in the new forums host maybe they can mark it as "Archive Thread" topic collected from the old gt boards.
sounds interesting... just wondering what other features this new host will offer...
No more banning of music and video link just like in proboards... hehehe... nah, just kidding...

any updates for the migration? that section was the main draw for me and rarely visit this board anymore.

keeping the site active as a place to dump info for easier backtracking.
