I thought to share some WIP photos of my MG sinanju. I guess you can call this a modeling tip as well...

I read alot of boards and watch videos on how others have painted the gold trim on this kit. Most do it by hand but painting metalic gold by hand often leaves uneven paint finishes that look very crappy. Some use a ton of little pieces of tape... which takes forever.

So i took a combination of taping off large areas and using a masking liquid for all the fine details. Result: a much better finish than by hand with just about the same amount of time.

Done masking the larger parts, applying liquid mask...

Same with back...

Now spray with airbrush...

Time to start carefully peeling mask...

One question though... Is that a black base color for the red parts or what? That's a very rich red tint that I don't think the plastic could achieve even with 3 clear coats...
