The greatest ever gundam

hello to all gundam fans out there. i would like to ask for some help. im currently planning to make a feature for our website and i was suddenly inspired by this show on discovery channel entitled "The Greatest Ever" where they feature the top 10 greatest machines. last episode i watched was the 10 greatest ever fighter planes. so i need some help in the top 10 greatest ever Gundams ever created. These are the limitations:
- Gundam-type machines only (although we can accept those of similar design like the Hyaku Shiki and Akatsuki)
- experimantals or prototypes only(no mass produced models like the GM and variants, Strike Dagger, etc.)
- must have appeared in the anime or manga series
- range is from UC timeline until CE timeline, meaning alternate universe models are included
- no super weapon add-ons to make them more powerful (Orchis, METEOR, G-defenser) Strike Packs & add-on armors are allowed though

the criteria would be:
design = how cool the overall appearance of the Gundam is
combat ability = assuming u have about 100 opponents (zakus,GINNs,Leos,etc), how many can u down before they touch u
firepower = weapons to unleash hell with. can include both melee and range armaments
versatility = can adapt to the combat situation & environment

i need about 100 votes. thanx in advance

Its hard to compare whos the best of the best because since some of them are from different universes and timelines, where as the UC suits are more utilitarian and the FC suits are super robotesque. it usually results in a vs. thread, with fanboy bashings from each side.

But if you consider who will be the strongest and best gundam ever, it will have to be turn A gundam. Its moonlight butterfly attack destroys all forms of technology. Not to mention its annoying moustache.

i think you should rate the top 10 per timeline. I'd like to see the ranking for the UC timeline.

an ms isnt all about its capabilities, characteristics and attributes. it also pertains the pilot's skill and such. for instance, heero yuy managed to infiltrate a colony using a leo space type, wiping out the whole defense battalion until finally engaging the nataku.

but for me, the best is the V2 Assault Buster.

yep as everybody has said its hard to tell who's the greatest ever Gundam because there are too many to choose from. But for me the greatest ever Gundam in the history of its anime was the RX-78-2 Gundam because this is were it all started. It was like classic.

Greatest ever? That's kindda hard coz they have different time-lines w/ supposedly different levels of technology.

It's like asking who's your favorite gundam!

I'll take the S-Gundam. I'll take it for it's uniqueness -- anyone whose got a GFF Deep Striker would know what I mean.

RX-78-2 and Fin fannel Nu-Gundam,hands down the best IMHO (Amuro's of course)
