I just got Cyberton Optimus Prime last night and here's my first review. Packaging:Packaging is similar to most of Cybertron's deluxe series however this one comes with the Giant Planet map. Figure:The figure has a similar mold to Armada Optimus prime or what some may call "Bendy" Prime with the exception of a new color scheme. Figure is about as tall as Cybertron Downshift. The nice thing about this figure is the color scheme -- it has bright red and uses gray for the head and legs. The new face job is great -- this is probably one of the reasons to get it. Alt mode:The truck mode shines with its new bright red color scheme -- this probably looks better than its predecessors. Gimmicks/Cybetron Key:It does come with a Cybertron key but its pretty useless. You stick it at the back and the figure simulates "attack punches". Personally, I would love it if they had included a weapon since the two smoke stacks along prime's arm easily detaches. No wonder a clear rubber was wrap around it when I opened the figure. Rating:Overall, I'll give this figure 3 out of 5 stars. The articulation and poseability is frustrating considering that it's called "Bendy" Prime. Legs articulation are very limited and the arms seem to wobble from time to time not to mention the arms. You have to slide up prime's arms to reveal its hands however this seems to be very loose and gets annoying for a period of time. However, I would recommend this figure to those who doesn't have the previous molds and for the Prime collectors, this figure is a must and is quite hard to find.

Nice review. Btw, if you wanna risk it, you may wanna do some tinkering with the hips: Taken from Dave Van Domelen's site: I had a friend fix this on my Armada Bendy Prime...and it worked. Expertise in tinkering this would be required

Wish I can provide more graphic instructions but I didn't have my cam when I did this. I did those modifications on the Prime I recently bought. Heck, I even made a mistake when I returned the knees so I had to open up the lower legs again to get the knees right. These modifications allow the legs to bend 90-degrees forward. You can make Prime sit down on a chair or something like that. But seriously, this mod allows you to make Prime do a ver good crouching pose

ummm....err....i didn't really have a cam to document the process... all I have are these: To get a better view of the waist: It really isn't that hard to figure out. All you need is a philips screwdriver. If you're unsure, get yourself a bootleg bendy prime from TK and practice on it. The bootleg is only P160 and mirrors the leg assembly of the real one. Bootleg Prime "not too bendy" (doesn't have elbows)

thanks for the pics! Apparently there's another rumor of a Bendy Prime Variant -- this one with the Planet symbols on the truck's hood and with the correct elbows? ( I don't know about this ) but here's the pic. Gee how many issues does this Prime has? Must be a lot already.

I think the variant which is currently being talked about is not really a variant. Either the two can be variant. I can say that those prime with no symbols are error in production which I can say much valuable. Or I may be wrong.

If there was a production run of 10k w/o planet symbols and another 10k w/ planet symbols, then what would be more valuable?

I think the variant which is currently being talked about is not really a variant. Either the two can be variant. I can say that those prime with no symbols are error in production which I can say much valuable. Or I may be wrong. Whether either one is the variant is not an issue, but the demand. If there is still more demand for the 'planet symbols' version, then even if the one without the symbols is rarer or same in number, the first one would still be more expensive. One good example is the Marvel Select Ultimate Venom figure. According to sources, the plain black one and the one with the classic Venom insignia were produced at the same quantity but there was still higher demand for the latter so therefore it was more expensive.
