@no3ljm hehe, still got no cash to buy myself an air compressor for spray painting I do all of my painting via paintbrush (with a lot of sanding and a thick top coat to mask all the imperfections, hehehe). archaznableIt's a mig23 flogger with this weird gray color scheme... got that color scheme since I'm too lazy to do the conventional green/desert camouflage.

@pikoy thanks for the VF-1S photos. it looks great. i think that's the special edition kits. the clear parts versions. so it's a gloss finish. can i ask if you spraypainted the white parts and handbrushed the details such as intakes, panel lines, gears, etc.? thanks.
i'll wait for your clearer photos soon. after seeing your valkyrie, it makes me want to start my YF's fighter plane kits. but... no... have to hone my skills first before the Macross Plus planes. hehehe. ;D

@no3ljm
nope, no spray paint at all. I hand brushed the model inside out (to lessen the coats I have to make on the outside, I also painted the inner side of plastic panels). I used two broad-headed brushes (one for acrylic, another for enamel paint) for the body and two fine brushes for detailing. That thing took forever to cover up in white paint! I lost count of how many passes I did (using thinned out white paint) for transparency to be completely eliminated. For panel lines, I used a gundam marker (actually this was the first model I panel-lined my whole life... heheh)
I prefer gloss paint since it spreads out evenly. The downside is, all my kits turn out looking like action figures! My HG 1/144's look a lot more like MSIA's instead of HG kits.

yes, the gun pod is flat dark gray. I leave the details with matt coloring, while the body is generally gloss.
