Articulation wise, it's better especially on the legs. Plus, the ver 2.0 is a bit bigger, bulkier and better looking than ver 1. My only disappointment is it didn't come with the G-Defenser.

Well ver2 is still compatible with the G-Defenser from the Super Gundam kit. So I guess its more of a marketing thing..

Well, first I sand some excess sprues. Then, I prime it with Grey primer. After the primer dries up, the part gets painted. Dry it up, put the decals and then finish it off with a layer of topcoat.
I put a very thin layer of primer since I only use that so that the paint will stick to the part better. A layer or two of the paint and a layer of topcoat to seal the deal.

PilapZI prefer using flat bro. The glossy one's too shiny for my taste. ;D No lab updates today but here's a new addition to my collection. At long last! Here's another pic beside my WIP Mk-II Together with the other cool car from TFTM I actually finished the body part of the Mk-II yesterday but I was so hooked on finishing it I forgot to take pics. ;D I'll just post them tomorrow together with the other parts that I can finish tomorrow. Thanks for visiting the lab.

Thanks bro! Actually, I use RJ branded paints to paint my kits. Tamiya really is expensive but don't get me wrong though, I used Tamiya paints before and they are top-notch. But after trying RJ paints, I didn't see that much of a difference between them so I settled with RJs since they're cheaper. (saka ang konti ng laman nung tamiya spray cans eh, hehehe...)Here's a small list of RJ paints that I'm currently using to paint the kit: Primer Gray Tivoli Blue White Dull Black Yellow Dull Lacquer Edit: BTW, you can get them at your local hardware store but if you want a wider selection of colors, go to ACE Hardware at SM malls or at The Handyman at Robinson's malls.

Thanks jnthn. We have the same reasons why I like the Mk-II. Lab update 12.03.07 Finished the torso and I like the result of my job. The paint dried up real fine and the decals are placed nicely. Next stop: The legs. ;D Thanks for visiting the lab!

ooohhh....cool. so you snap-build the entire kit first then take the armour parts off for painting? i think we pretty much have the same style with the exception that i paint it piece by piece before final assembly.
