thanks for dropping by, sir mhontie! i'm also in the same boat as yours when it comes to custom painting our kits the cheapest way - handbrush! i also grinned when i read in your post that you are using REEVES! wow! my brush too, along with those best buys nos. 2, 3 and 4 lol
only expensive brush i obtained was the fine tipped sakura and fine tipped tamiya brush when my sakura 'retired'.
if you have not done it yet, try applying clear flat coats on your handbrushed kits, and spraybrushed/airbrushed ones will pale in comparison, believe me! especially brushing skills such as yours :-)
darn, got carried away! am i just glad to have a fellow handbrusher or what? lol

to stay on topic, i finally figured out (thanks to sir hackundertaker) how to open the zero cockpit to reveal mr. yuy... The zero cockpit exposed... Zero cockpit top angle... Monitor... will try to post some more shots soon :-)

great! did you have to use some sort of magnifying glass to see its very very tiny details? hehe, not really, sir; i don't even have my eyeglasses on ;D but it really helped painting 1/100 heero yuy while he's still on the sprue :-) promise to post the "progress pic" of heero yuy tomorrow morning/afternoon (i don't have the sd card with me tonight )

as promised... sitting 1/100 heero yuy, oob... standing 1/100 heero yuy, oob... applying flesh color 01... applying flesh color 02... brown + a little white for the shoes 01... brown + a little white for the shoes 02... brown for the hair 01... brown for the hair 02... green for the shirt... black for the cycling shorts; used 0.1 markers instead of paint... black 02... seatbelt colored with lt. brown, accented with a little copper for the buckles... thanks for looking
