Hi, I’m MG-014 and I just started collecting and modelling Gundam kits beginning this year. I’m trying my hand on Gundam kits now to see how if I do well in this field, since I have been painting/ detailing sentai candy toys for 2 years now.
Here are my Gundam Mechs so far.
HG 1/100 Wing Zero Custom
First, I got myself HG 1/100 Wing Zero Custom. Built the kit, sanded some parts and painted it with just like the Special Operations Type using Tamiya x-11 Chrome for chrome legs and other chrome parts. A mixture of Tamiya Blue and Chrome that came up with a metallic blue finish. Gundam Markers were used on other parts.
I was also able to finish Gundam Seed-Destiny and sort-of fell in love with Sword Impulse Gundam and its color theme. I thought, what if I apply the Sword Impulse color theme to my favorite gundam? That is, Wing Zero Custom. So, i bought another HG 1/100 Wing Zero Custom and created this Sword impulse-inspired Wing Zero Custom.
NG 1/100 00 Raiser
My third mech is the NG 1/100 00 Raiser. I fell in love with this mech the first time i saw it. It has a lot of poseability and it’s looks awesome. One problem in this mech is that the 0 Raiser has loose docking connectors; it always fall off from the GN Drives connector as well as from the back-pack. Oh well, I’ll be waiting for the Master Grade of this kit.
NG 1/100 Aile Strike Gundam
Next is the NG 1/100 Aile Strike Gundam. Built, and painted with Tamiya Chrome for the chrome legs and other parts that were white. I also painted the Aile back-pack red accents with Mr. Hobby Shine Red instead of applying the stickers. This mech looks cool and has good poseability.

NG 1/100 Strike Freedom Gundam
My inspiration for this kit is the MG Strike Freedom Gundam Extra-Finish version. After sanding, I painted the white parts with Chrome finish. But instead of fully applying the extra finish design of MG Strike Freedom EFV, I gave a twist by applying Tamiya Black on the blue feet, and applying Chrome on the blue lagoons. I also fully utilized the Chrome on the head and on the V-fins.

NG 1/100 Force Impulse Gundam
For this kit, I sort-of got tired of the blue color on the body that I painted the blue parts with Tamiya Acrylic Black and to the feet. I also applied Mr. Hobby Shine Red for the red parts on the Force Silhoutte.
NG 1/100 Sword Impulse Gundam
I simply applied Mr. Hobby Shine Red on the red parts of this model. This kit still a work-in-progress phase. It still needs to be panel-lined though it looks good as it is.
NG 1/100 Exia Avalanche
One day while shopping at Shoppesville - Greenhills, I found this kit lying around in a store. This item is obviously a TongLi model kit based on the quality of plastic. It did not have the GN Drive but it came with complete weapons, and priced at P300. For me, it’s a fair price though it would be nicer if it came with the GN Drive.
I’m not really familiar with the Gundam 00 series because I have not watched it when I got this model. I thought, what if I convert this kit into its primary form, Exia. So I removed the extra attachments to turn it into Exia. With the extra attachments removed, I had in mind the Tactical Weapon of Astray Blue Frame, and thought what if I make a weapon using the extra attachments that I removed from the Exia Avalanche. So there it came, I combined the two extra attachments from the shoulders and arm/ wrist of Exia Avalance, and an extra GN Blade. I used super glue to combine all the parts together. Finally, its done. The new weapon for Exia. I call it GN Avalancher Cannon. It can also attach at the back of Exia just like that of Tactical Weapon of Astray Blue Frame.
