The toys seem to be going on well... I'm very enthusiastic about this line, especially since Hasbro was able to take the TF:Animated's rather simplistic toon models and come up with kickass toys!
June can't come soon enough...

These toy designs are very promisng! Sure, it's different, but the toys are looking to be very interesting takes... Though viper may take offense to Prime not having his mouthplate again...

Honestly, I was afraid of this... Ever since they announced the guys behind this (see above posts by heerosan), I knew something like this would happen...
It's that stylized american cartoon thing again... It was fun when Warner did it with their franchises, but now we're getting it in all other cartoons! GIJoe Sigma 6, Spawn, the Nick Toons, now Transformers.
Crap... And if I remember right, they transform by spinning around ala Taz...

Do we get this here? I missed out on TF#0 since I could'nt finance it back then (heck, I still can't finance a TF #0 even to this day!) so if this does come out cheaper, it could be a good alternative. Any news when?

Heh... Then MP-6 Megatron with stock and silencer... then MP-6 Special edition Megatron with stock and silencer IN ANIME CORRECT COLORS! What else, now? Masterpiece Two-Packs?

looks like a future MP08(?) hehe Undoubtedly... A "Perfect Megatron", if you will... V2's concerns are valid, and, as I see it, this could be a money-making move on Takara's, which is severely annoying... Release an "imperfect" model, then release a "perfect" model afterwards, after testing the market's reaction to their first release. Looks like Takara knows how to milk the collectors, don't you think?

I agree, Grimlock and Jetfire seem to fly of the shelves even before they arrive! I can't seem to find any at SRP! There doesn't seem to be enough of those, instead, all we get are a lot of Bumblebee/Astrotrain twopacks and Mirage. Man... We really are seeing less and less Transformers lately... Maybe gearing for the Movie toys release? I'm already excited... Just have to get Masterpiece Megatron first! hehehehe! Oh, and yes, this is a store hosted board and yes, it is really kinda akward posting competitior prices here, but apparrently, Sir Malvs is a good sport... ;D See, he thanks us for informing him of the competition...

I dunno 'bout you guys, but I think these "shoes" are cool... Now I wonder if they're locally available... Does any one know where and how much? I like them simply because of the novel concept. A pair or Prime and Megs for shoes... Really sweet idea...

Hey! Not bad, not bad. Finally, some toys of the movie! They look nice. Hopefully we get them here, and that they're not that expensive... hehe:)

Heh! Someone beat me in posting about this first. Hat's off to you, sidelink! Anyway, completed last Monday (first 3 last Saturday, got my last, Vector Prime, on Monday...)
They're ok for their price point considering they're little more than transforming bricks. Jetfire's probably the best of the molds. Megatron's probably the most articulated of the bunch, yet he's probably also the WORST of the bunch... Imagine that!

Astig is the word!
I like the sculpting, especially the head part, which looks like it has light piping...
How much is it, by the way? Haven't gone to any store that sells it yet...
Sayang lang, me nakikitang upuan sa harap, but thats just me...
Still, PRIME ROCKS!

It's interesting to note that Hasbro packages its Cybertron and Galaxy Force Optimus Primes with the wing parts detached while the Takara one has it already assembled... You have to attach it yourself with the pins provided.
The Galaxy Force repaint by Hasbro is cool though, if you'd like a more detailed version of the Optimus Prime you bought...
Good luck on your collection!

Oh, right. Researched it... and yeah, it was T-Wrecks and not Grimlock...
My bad. Mental association and all that...
Thanks for correcting me.

I'm not very sure but I seem to remember a Grimlock variant of the BW Megatron mold. Saw it in a department store a few years back, dunno if it was Beast Machines, RiD or something else. Maybe someone can verify it...
BTW, is the Energon Dinobot set still available locally? I'm looking for the Grimlock + Swoop set and I think they're out of stock when I last looked. Thanks
