Well, it is a HUGE improvement over the original version... No longer looks like some kid's water pistol...

I passed by Greattoys Makati today...
The salesperson there said that they were already expecting stocks of the MP-5 to arrive by early efening on Friday (Mar.30) or anytime on Saturday Mar. 31), no info yet on the price. If we're lucky, they've arrived already. Woohooo!
Go get 'em, guys!

Is there any news on when we'll get this and how much? I haven't reserved mine yet... "Planning to" is the word.

An anime-accurate recolor, I think will be more possible though. Well, my friend your wish came true. Hasbro unvielded its US version of MP-3 Starscream in Animation colors. Thanks to S250 of TFW2005.com for the news. UPDATE: Accoding to S250 of TFW2005.com that he talked to the dealer regarding the info of G1 colored MP Screamer; it is really in fact it will be released in the US. Thanks again to S250 of TFW2005.com for this great news. I feel I like this version better than the Takara Starscream, though that's not to say I think the Takara MP-03 is inferioir. It's just that the color scheme looks more appealing. I'm sold on this.

Having bought the 20th Anniversary Prime by Hasbro, I had a huge fit of disappointment when I walked into the store and saw the MP-04. Having shelled out a lot of money into it (I was in college, and my thesis was literally sucking away my allowance...), I kinda felt REALLY BAD
Now, I'm mulling over buying it, but really, 7,200 pesos is really too much.

Bwiset!
Just saw this thing (the MP-04, I mean) today and I'm thinking, Takara's forcing me to pay them another PhP 8,000 just for this.
Considering may MP-01 na'ko... Sayang naman kung bibili pa'ko ng ISA PANG Prime... Bwiset talaga! Considering that the only alternative to this is the Just I Toys Trailer, which is somewhat very bitin.
Well, it seems I have no chice...
Jya na!

Interesting colors, but still, I prefer the Hasbro ones... This new set of colors seems rather awkward with the figs... Megs looks even more toy-like than the previous incarnation...
Not to mention more expensive... This should appeal more to the G1 fanatics, I think.

PhP999.75 for the 1:24, PhP379.75 for the 1:32. The Road Bot Pajero is an exception since it's priced PhP20 more at PhP399.75 The 1:32 guys really are a mixed bag, since some have really goofy weaponry and unbalanced proportions. They really would look better with different heads...

Digging out this thread... www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/menu.aspx?menu=1176&company=0&category=3177These guys are available (well, not all...) here! The 1:32 scale Roadbots are out, saw them at Sta. Lucia yesterday, beside their 1:18 brethren... They have the Hummer H2, Lancer Evo IX, Ford GT, and one other (I forgot if it was the Supra or the Murcielago...). IMHO, these look better than the big 'bots, since the smaller scale means a lot of panelling and hollow cavities are compressed into a big block. The proportions look better, but some have very long uni-block torsos (The FOrd GT suffers from this, but does not look as bad as the bigger roadbots...) and rather large heads. Speaking of heads, the faces have been changed to more humanoid faces instead of the usual Gundam-derived ones. I like them better since the bigger 'bots had rather unattractive heads...( Again the Land Cruiser and the Evo had the best heads... ) They now look more "Transformers-like", hehe. I've always planned to pick up a Roadbot (the Land Cruiser...) but never got around to. I like the Hummer visually of the 4 that I saw so I might get that...

That is a sweet exclusive set! Those lucky Japanese... Too bad getting one costs a whole body part more than a regular Blackout...
I really only want that Spychanger Prime though... hehe

it was enjoyable enough, though it didn't have the kind of really memorable goosebump-inducing moments that the original Transformers The Movie had. ..I mean like there you have at least 3: "YOU GOT THE TOUCH!!!" "...do not grieve." "Now, light our darkest hour!!!" I beg to differ... One of the more memorable (and possibly one of the best things...) that Bay did here was include snippets of the old TF movie feeling with new and memorable things here and there... To wit: - Autobot intro sequence (especially with "...I am Optimus Prime...) - Bonecrusher being gutted by Prime... One could call it, the gasp before the plunge (to Bonecrusher's head, I mean...) - My favorite... "One shall stand, one shall fall! But I agree, the sequel has no excuse...

Hotshot i was just curious.. and this one just passed as a thought but I guess it *JUST* might be significant: If this movie that Michael Bay turned out to be a flop, what are you guys planning to do with your new transformer movie toys? a. keep them b. bash 'em good at Michael Bay c. trade them secretly and hope everyone forgets that you actually bought them in the first place. d. toys are toys, i will spare them from my wrath. it's not that im bashing Michael Bay or the movie, i am personally anticipating the movie.... but high-budget films don't just cut out for me.. it has to have a very good story which all of us who grew up with transformers are expecting. so what do you think you will do guys? Regardless of the Movie's performance in the box office, I'm keeping my toys... I feel that the movie and the toys, while very much intertwined, are very separate entities. I mean, regardless of box-office success, I don't think that'll change the fact that Leader-class Prime is a totally awesome piece of work (as a sidenote, FAB Prime, is too...hehe ;D ), for instance. I do buy the movie toys depending on how I like their aesthetics. While I don't see myself getting TFM Arcee anytime soon, a lot of people seem to love her... But that's just me. Jya na!
