Official Site Has anyone watched this super robot series? I watched two seasons of this anime series and I find that its quite an interesting parody of sorts for super robots... The animation quality is crisp, the super robots have nice mecha designs and *cough* ripoff moves *cough* ^_^ ...The characters are given enough background to build their personalities...The plot is not at all original, still it manages to weave together the plot holes often left open in other mecha titles (*cough* EVA *cough*)...Oh yeah, did I mention the female characters seems to be drawn with "special" care? ;D Overall, this is one of those mecha anime titles that is quite pleasant to watch...You don't have to read deep into the storylines nor figure out why Godannar has a flaming scalp, hehehe...Just sit back and have fun watching all the mayhem, wackiness and bouncy action... ;D Just to give you an idea of what Godannar looks like... ---> MaxFactory GodannarTo quote a friend of mine, SCWHEEEEEEEET!!! Do you have your own comments on this title? Then go post 'em!

I am very interested in seeing this series. I got to watch a trailer from ADV Films, the U.S. distributor for the anime. I was pretty funny and got my interest. I am waiting for a complete DVD-quality animation copy of this one. You can watch the trailer here. (Just click on the Godannar link) www.advfilms.com/FILMStrailers.asp

I am also interested to watch this series. Sadly, none of the stores I have visited sell VCD or DVD copies of Godannar. Anyone know where I can get a copy here in Manila? Thanks.

If I'm not mistaken 2rats sells subbed versions of Godannar, seasons 1 and 2
I really love this series, especially it's hyperactive atmosphere and the exaggerated character designs (special metion to the female characters... ;D)
Check out the stereotypes of various super robots around the Godannar Earth... They're really well thought of...
Highly recommended for fans and newbies to the super robot world!

ive watched this series and the too much exaggeration of eveything really turns me off instead.. if not for the fun fact that Koji actually kinda resembles Koji of Mazinger Z, i would have really hated this anime
