I'm posting this thread owing to the fact that videogames have a lot of anime influences, though this particular game is a hybrid of American gory horror flicks.
Boy has this series gone a long way. From the stilted robot like movement of the PS1 (it was ground reaking then) with the pre-rendered backgrounds to the Dreamcast Code Veronica full 3d environment. Anyway it has improved a lot.
I was kinda disappointed when the Gamecube got the game exclusivity ( remake of 0 and 1 and 4), recently a PS2 version of Resident Evil 4 was released. I have just purchased the game last Saturday and can't keep from putting the controller down. The game play mechanics have changed and the controls are a refreshingly new and applicable. The fright factor is still there and no more B movie dialog like..................you the master of unlocking...........
If you have time to waste a bit....do buy the game (you won't regret it) hell with some graphical degradation but the gameplay is still great. ( Whoever out there owns a Gamecube, please compare the game engine with the PS2 rev.
