I was once channel flipping through cable tv and happened upon another asian channel featuring a US cartoon, Aladdin. While I couldn't understand a single word, I was amazed at how uncanny the similarity and delivery style between the voice of the local dubber and to the movie genie's original voice, Robin Williams, himself. This made me wonder, since we've already seen locally dubbed anime left right and center on almost all local channels, which series do you think really stands out in terms of dubbing quality? Oh, and my question is for series dubbed in tagalog only, not local english dubs.

For me YuYu Hakusho(Ghost Fighter) and Slamdunk  Best tagalog dub. Niel Yu voices of Sakuragi and Alfred(Kuwabara) got pretty much likeness on their japanese dub. counterpart. He also got their mannerism and phonetics on delivering their script upon acting in the anime' |

He also got their mannerism and phonetics on delivering their script upon acting in the anime' Slamdunk hell yeah its a hands down the best tagalog dubb ever hehehe ..... also for me Dragon Ball ..... Goku (shouting tagalog ver. Kamehamewave, but in the english ver its Kamehameha (without the wave hehehe) ..... ;D ;D ;D |

Crayon ShinChan. Andrew E's voice really fits Shin-chan's voice, a lot better pa nga!! andrew e only dubbed the first few episodes of shinchan to grab ppl's attention. eventually shin chan was dubbed by richie padilla, who is also famous for being the voice behind most of the lupin iii episodes. |

DragonBall Z, just dubbing the fight scene, will make you sweat, I'll give credit to SlamDunk just by saying the word "gunggong" makes me laugh....

Slam Dunk
YuYu Hakusho
Lupin III (made me laugh bigtime)
Hunter X Hunter (its okay)
Daimos (english version)
Naruto
and the best one for me..
Knockout (really loved this anime!)
WORST ANIME DUBS:
Bleach (the one on Channel 7, disgusting!)
Gundam Seed Destiny (the one currently airing on ABS-CBN)
was channel surfing last sunday and saw GSD on ABS, that is probably the worst dub i've ever heard. Yuna Seiran and Tokada "labeled" cagalli's strike rouge to STRIKE ROGUE! What the ****?!...most of the dialogues are wrong (even though they are showing the unedited version of it..)..

Best Tagalog dubs? Magic Knight Rayearth, back when it was on channel 2. Come to think of it, most Channel 2 anime pre-Get Backers...
GMA 7 had it going good with Lupin III, and Slam Dunk. I liked the YuYuHakusho dub, but not after GMA started hyping it. GMA's Gundam dubs were a mixed bag, though admittedly, I thought they were fun.
