your choices for metal gundams are quite limited... there are less than 10 metal gundams available.. so for some of the wonderful pieces, u have no choice but to get Fix figuration versions instead I guess that's also an interesting point to consider -- there are less than 10 metal gundams vs approx 25 GFF models. Parang mas madali ma-complete yun metal gundams But if we look down the road say, a couple of years from now, would we still look at the Deep Striker or MMM Aile Strike the way we look at them now?

I was faced with a similar dilemma while shopping in Hong Kong and I thought about it this way: what are your alternatives? If you want a Strike Gundam figure, you've got the MSIA, AMSIA, Arch Enemy, etc. If you want a Deep Striker...well, there's the GFF. Did they even make a model kit back in the day?
Bottm line is, the Aile Strike Gundam is available in a variety of scales and materials. Who knows? It's possible that we haven't seen the best possible incarnation of the Aile Strike Gundam in toy form. Also, as another poster said, Bandai could easily reissue the MMM Aile Strike Gundam.
On the other hand, the Deep Striker can only be found in toy form as a GFF release, and it is already currently seeing a re-release. Who knows if it will be re-released again? And the Deep Striker, precisely because it IS the Deep Striker is probably not going to be released in any other Gundam toy line in the near future. It's not impossible, of course, but practically speaking, its not likely either. So the GFF Deep Striker MAY well be the definitive toy version of this mobile suit that we will ever see.

actually there is another incarnation of the deep striker - that is in expensive resin which would cost you around 10k to purchase.
considering that bandai seems to be building variants of all kits imaginable, i wouldnt be surprised if an MG Deep Striker version comes out - after all there's already the Ex-S version already out... but i'd still play it safe with the durability and the cost-effectiveness of the GFF version.

I guess when you can't decide what to get, you go to economics -- price-wise, the Deep Striker cost P1,500 lesser than the MMM Aile

They're all Gundam Fix Figurations. If only I got a glass cabinet, I can pose them all together just like that, man!

What's the difference between the FIX sets and the "Cosmic Region" sets? Is the Cosmic Region a non-Katoki but FIX-level pvc fig set? They don't come as cheap as A/MSIA and I'm not sure if they're up to par with the FIX sets.
.....did you guys see the new stuff in stock? Cosmic Region Freedom Gundam.....

cosmic region is like the GFF only that it focuses on units from the Cosmic Era timeline (in short, the gundam seed universe). im not sure whether katoki's got a hand in the designs but the styling definitely is katokish.

btw-- that's a great-looking Zeta Plus (red) you have there, dc723. I wonder if GT has any Zeta Plus FIX still in stock?
