Ex Archaangel Coated Version

Anyone here has or had seen a coated version of Archangel? If so, I have a simple question.

Ex models of Bandai are known to be kits that needs to be colored. So, is the coated version already colored or do we still need metallic paints to color it up? Thanks.

i dont owe one but if i may answer your question. i think the coated version is already "coated" so you don't have to paint it. sorta like the old hyaku shiki, it already comes with its own gold coating and same with the other "coated" kits. no painting necessary

I mean... the regular Ex Archangel comes in an all white color, no red marks on the wings or gray shades. I'm expecting the coated version to be all coated in silver colored and I'll have a problem applying the red colors for its wings.

eventually "limited" editions are already coated with something like chrome or metallic paint - instead of regular paint. so eventually there's not that much detailing (panel lines, coloring on some areas, etc) to do. the only two issues with limited editions is that the paint finish tends to tarnish or fade away thru time... so if you decide to buy one, its best to place it in a display case. another is that once you cut the parts off the sprues, the "scars" are visible.
