Hi guys I just wanna share my finished MG RX-78-2 ver. 2.0 ;D

I airbrushed the exterior armors ala max watanabe pre-shade technique. As you can see the colors are lighter than usual since I want this more anime accurate (and since I've been inspired by the designer colors of the 00 mobile suits ;D). As I said the eyes is painted standard mr. color yellow to denote shadows by the visor of the helmet.

This is actually the first MG kit I've airbrushed prior to the HG 1/144 Virtue and GN-X kits ;D

I've also panel lined this by enamel wash and used bandai water decals specifically made for the RX-78-2 ver 2.0 ;D

I didn't place too much decals since I want this simple and the design of the RX-78-2 is minimalistic so I went along that way. The decal set actually has 2 variations of the EFSF logo and name: One in gray and one in yellow. I used gray because the yellow parts has this shaded markings in it that makes the decal standout more and it kinds of takes out the simplicity of the design.

Your model gives me the inspiration to take this hobby to the next level. I was happy with the snap build until I saw this. Very nice kit sir. I'm looking forward to your next pictorial. BTW, I may have not notice it, but what kind of kit is this (HG,MG,PG)?

That's a MG RX-78-2 ver. 2.0 ;D IMO it's one of the best Master Grade ever made since the fingers and feet are almost PG like. Not to mention the head has it's own inner frame. It even beats the MG Exia in terms of inner frame engineering and articulation.

I have to agree with you sir. Wing 0 (not custom) has been overlooked by Bandai and I think it deserve an MG version. I'm currently building my first MG and its a SF and when I compare the 2 its like comparing a b&w tv with and HD tv. I think my wife is the only one who said she liked it even though I know she lying and just don't want to break my heart. I really wish I could improve in making these kits so that I can pose and display them without any hesitation.

It took them some time before they did an MG of Victory Gundam. Lots of people would be happy if they'd make an MG of Wing series.

People appreciate your work or not, it doesn't matter as long as you're happy with your toys. Some people appreciates, others don't. In my case, most of them are amazed of my collections not because of how I build them, but because of every grownup still has a child inside them and they are somewhat happy and amazed seeing toys in a grownup man's world. They are even inspired to have/get their own hobby. Just be happy when you show your toys to your friends, don't show awkwardness because you still do toys and stuffs. If they see you're happy, then they'll be happy for you as well.

thanks evangelion really appreciate it. just like what my mom says: its the only thing that did not change with me. my love for my toys. I have painted this kit and for me it looks a little better than before. just was not able to take a photo of it.
