Poeple power is just being abused now a days.... the significance now is different from what people power meant in 1986... given the numbers during the protest... i doubt even half of them were there for justice but was just there for the money, forced attendance or peer pressure...

in 1986 - the world praised the philippines for people power, no violence form of ousting leaders... soon other countries followed present - people power now is just a tool and lost its significance....

This is a delicate topic. If the opposition wants her out, file an impeachment case. All the opposition does is TALK,TALK,TALK. These guys don't have the hormones. All those politicians who turned chicken are mga BALIMBING. MAG-HARA-KIRI nalang sila.

Come to think of it, maswerte pa rin si madam president. Even the impeachment wont prosper kasi they dont have the numbers in the House di ba?? Isa pa para kasing walang matinong ipapalit ;D

Not to sound pessimistic but I went for don't care because as it stands, and is my opinion since Erap was elected, it's no longer who is the good option, but a matter of which is the lesser of all evils. I almost didn't vote last election, but when I did, I went w/ GMA.
Besides, if she leaves in light of this illegal evidence, how can we expect those who were responsible to change gears and follow the letter of the LAW? Yes, what she did was illegal, but what they did was as well. Two wrongs never made a right. To me those who wanted to release the evidence and gain from these events do not care about law and therefore cannot be trusted to abide and uphold law once in power. Any politician worth his weight in gold should have found a way to make it legal, and not rely on scandal to make it "acceptable".
My 2 cents.

resignation is not the answer for the current political crisis lets go toi,the legal process which is the impeachment and let the rule of law decide wether she stays or leave.

Well, I'll put it this way.... I opted to vote for her to stay, since there's nothing she, her allies, her opposition nor anyone of us can do now but wait ......... yes, resignation is one legal means of her doing a grand exit, aside from the fact that she can be impeached, but is she willing to do it??I don't think so. Is any of her allies want her out???... no,no,no... of course not one of them would like their milking cow to leave them empty handed. Is her opposition really too eager for her to resign so that the country can move on with flying colors... again A BIG NO!!!! Yes, they want her to resign but are they really doing it in a right manner so as to have our country back to the right track.. NO... they (the Opposition)are just trying to out hussle each other so that each of them can gain a nicer juicier position w/in the government if something do happen... meaning for each and everyone of their own self agenda and interest. Us... do we really want GMA out... I don't think so... I myself don't want her resigning... not because am a GMA loyalist (w/c am not), but due to the fact that cheat or not, she's fine with me in there... just for the plain and simple reason that before, during and after the previous election, I don't want another actor running our country. If she resigns... who's going to run the show??? VP Noli is the legal alternate... but accdg to them, he too should resign... who then.... Loren Legarda... I don't think so, she's not even a legal winner. Anyone from the opposition??? Ofcourse the opposition wouldn't allow any GMA man to replace her as a caretaker while they are planning of what to do next, which they really don't have... I don't accept the BAHALA na thing , the "let's decide what to do next after she resigns or the "cross the bridge when we get there thing" while the country suffers more KOs... not one of them is legal and of course NOT Susan R. cause she's not even included in the electoral picture....1 thing is sure, nobody is acceptable enough (atleast from both side)to take the position if GMA vacates it. In the end, let's just all wait for whatever may happen... but for the meantime, let GMA govern it, till she be impeached or till the politicians(pro, anti, left and right)comes out with a good plan. Oooopppsssss.... it's only my opinion ok... nothing serious... now back to toy discussions.........
