He is in the country. I just saw him last Saturday at GT GH. I think Sir Malvin is just busy. There are a lot of last minute arrivals lately and I think he is the one going from one GT branch to another. That's awfully hard to do here in the Metro! ;D

hey guys you notice how conflicts becomes another conflict? like for example, back in my college days (comp-eng student kami) we had this so called conflict (asaran) with comp-sci students, and when the comp-sci people went to their internship... us comp-eng had conflicts within ourselves betweencomp-eng block 1 and comp-eng block 2... the so called HIGH-MEM kasi mga scholar and mga LOW-MEM mga bumagsak ng Calculus.
and then dun sa EB UltimateGaoJP mentioned that "gundam sucks" (of course he was kidding we all know that ;D ) so parang lumalabas (this is just an idea) that gundam people has a conflict with sentai people (asaran ;D ) and then i also noticed that even us gundam people are also divided in two gundam people who favors the kits and the fix figures.
(btw this is just for the SAKE OF ANALOGY okie dokie peachy peach hunky dory? ;D )
and then i also recalled this war/history film about Gen. Patton, Commander of the US Army European Campaign in World War Two... after defeating the Axis (Germany, Italy, and Japan) by the Allies (USA, UK, and USSR)... Gen. Patton wanted to turn his tanks around and invade Russia and do a preemptive strike on the Ruskies, but of course Pres. Eisenhower tamed his war dog and just let everything be at peace.
so my point is (pagkatapos ng mahabang kwento), is it really human nature to beat the crap out of everyone else? if its not the enemy... its the next guy you don't like?

hmmmmm....mahaba nga ang kwento. hehehe. pero one thing i noticed is that those conflicts involved a lot of guys. though there are female gundam collectors, may it be FIX or kits, and there are female students in both comp-sci and comp-eng, these groups are mainly composed of male participants. maybe its not really human nature to beat the crap out of everyone else but rather its a guy thing to be very competitive. we all know every guy wants to be top dog. heck that's why animals (including us) boast their muscles in front of females, to show who's the best. same with all the examples you've given, all guys want to show they are better than the competition, to get ahead of everyone else. and with all the testosterone running through a guys veins, the best way he thinks to this is to be aggressive as possible. that's why nang-una si GAOJP sa asaran, that's why nagkaroon ng "debate" on the gundam boards, that's why nagpalakasan ng asaran ang comp-eng and comp-sci students nyo, that's why gusto no patton magkaroon ng preemptive strike sa mga russians. just my two cents though ;D
