hey guys, i placed an order a while back for a pre-order item that i had cancelled shortly after. the item's release was late september (29th) and in the statement the order was cancelled mid september (17th). so dapat d talaga ako ma-chacharge since the item was never shipped to me, isn't that how pre-orders work? the statement that the online store sent said that i will be refunded my charges. however when my credit card bill came i saw the item was still charged to my card and the date charged was way before the item was to be shipped. so in short i never recieved an item and yet was still charged for it. can anyone shed light on this? how can the online store refund my money? is that possible? man i feel i got ripped off.

It's possible to contest it to the cc company that it's a cancelled order. Also you might want to ask the credit and collection dept. in your workplace for a more reliable advice.

yah, talk to your credit card company and you may contest it. the credit card company will do the necessary investigation. but for now, since the transaction was made, meaning you were charged officially. it will reflect on your credit card satement. but when the credit card company has made the necessary investigation, they will retract the charges that was made to your account. if all goes well?

perhaps hindi lang nakaabot sa cutoff ung 'refund' kaya me charge pa rin seo. the best thing to do is call the cc company and inquire. they'll probably tell u to ignore the billing statement. changes will be reflected on your next billing.
parang sakit sa ulo tlaga kpag bumili ka online ha. kaya ako ayokong subukan. hehe. iisipin mo mas makakamura ka pero u'll end up paying more. tsk tsk tsk.

Maybe it was just a pre-authorized charge. It usually is an SOP for most online transactions. Just like R2 said, maybe the parties involved did not make it in time for the cut-off..

yeah, maybe the refund didn't reach the cut-off. i was on the phone with my CC company and they told me that if the store did give me the refund it will reflect on the next statement. if not then i can file a complaint and they will do the investigation. thanks for the reply guys.
