regarding the question are we too old... nasagot ko na un before pero i just felt like sharing this... my teammate spends a lot for hair rebonding. thats far more expensive than our hobby. P6k ata isang session nun (not sure). sabi ko nga sa kanya magshampoo na lang cia my other teammate naman... araw araw gumigimick. as in literal na araw araw khit me pasok kinabukasan. babae un ha. mas magastos un kesa hobby natin! my gf naman spends for perfumes! as in she uses and collects perfumes! so far she has D&G and all releases from lacoste. again, mas mahal un kesa hobby natin. i can go on forever describing how people around me spend... but my point is simple... we all spend for something. it just so happened that in our case (gundams and the likes)... we prefer something tangible and something that will last a lifetime. un lang po. peace

i think its because most people associate toys with childrens and so are cartoons and anime, my take on it is "sino nga ba gumagawa ng mga toys at anime?" eh di ba mga matatanda rin? and honestly we can't blame them for having that kind of mentality, toy collecting and comics are alsmost the same. its s hidden world that only a handful of people know about. and i'd say we're the lucky ones ;D

it's OK to collect toys even if we're a bit...ahhh...older. at least, now we have the purchasing power to get the toys we want, hahaha! within reasonable limits of course.
i now have a family so my budget for my collection comes from savings, etc. di pwedeng galawin ang budget for the wife and the kids, hehe. aawayin nila ako! ;D

Toys in a way will always be our link to our childhood. Subconsciously, we buy the things we never had or completed when we were kids. At saka, eh KUL na KUL naman to collect toys! If other people collect antiques or stamps, why not toys, in our case. Kanya-kanya lang yan na hilig at karakas. Basta wag lang tayo makakasakit nang ibang tao. We are glad that we have this proboard. At least, we get to meet people with the same interest and in a way, a distraction from our everyday trials and tribulations... = )
