DotA is a warcraft III game map specifically designed for multiplayers. its still the same warcraft 3 game but instead of controlling an army of orcs or something, you control instead just one character or more commonly known as "Hero". then you can make your hero stronger by fighting other heroes or minions, and you can also buy items and weapons to increase the heroes stats. so for each level up of the hero it also increases in stats.
in other words, its like your playing DIABLO in warcraft 3. ;D

I think it was created in the Mission Editor of Warcraft III, a very creative theme.
My fave is Yurnero and Gondar, though I only play alone, probably will play with some friends when the time comes.

hmm thanks. recently lang, three weeks i think? its not very addicting but its got something else. its fun, that's for sure.
my top 3 are the dwarven sniper, the prophet, and the slayer. i've only been playing alone as well and still figuring out which among the sentinels i like, then after that i'll check out the scourge.

the only real practice you can get is when you face off against top players at internet cafes. thats the best place to learn how to properly use and counter the heroes in the game. un nga lang siguradong magugulpi ka muna ng mga bihasang maglaro before you yourself can start owning.

yep, the practice you can get from playing alone is getting the last hit on the creeps.
But for player vs. player strategy, it's gotta be practice by playing with them. > which I really need if I wanna be good.
