Those lightsabers look so nice...is the blade fragile? susceptible to breakage?

They are very nice! When you get the chance, you really should try one out.

The great thing about this is that the lit blade looks so realistic, then it has motion activated sounds that react to one's swinging it around.

Honestly, at this point in time, its the closest you'll get to the real thing! Its no toy, mind you, as the blade, which is made of a fairly sturdy composit material can get scratched and can be shattered so don't use it for dueling!

Thanks. I'm afraid if I swing that thing around, I might hit something and break it. I imagine the blade is something like a flourescent lamp (?). Maybe I should get one, one of these days. Maybe the one from Dooku if they have it. It was afterall designed by a pinoy.

d**n That "Great Might Gaine Perfect Mode" Giftset is HUGE!


Peace, the lightsaber's plastic and is roughly the equivalent to that of a car's tail light. It makes the "sparking" sound too when you tap it against something.. like the palm of your hand.



SGP, I think Raideen is only PVC, but is pretty big.. 11 inches I think. Transforms into God Bird mode though.



BTW, the GreatMightGaine Perfect Mode is a reissue of the 1993 Takara toy, with newly added gold/chrome trimmings and improved plastics/anime-accurate colors and additional paint applications missing on the old version.


It comes with electronic lights and sounds(Might Gaine's eyes, chest pieces light up and has choo-choo train sounds, Might Gunner's chest/cannon also lights up)


I'm told that the item has additional sound effects not present in the old version as well. The only downside is that there's no diecast but the combined toy stands 12 inches tall.



Essentially in the giftset you get:
1)
-Might wing(small Jet, forms right shoulder)
-Gaine(small Mech, forms left shoulder)
-Locomorizer(Huge train, main body)


All units combine to form Might Gaine.


2)
-Kaiser Drill
-Might Carry
-Kaiser units 1-5(non-transforming vehicles)

all units combine to form Might Kaiser


3)
-Might Gunner(Cannon/train/mech)



Combining 1) and 2) you get Great MightGaine

Combining 1), 2) and 3) you get Great MightGaine Perfect Mode.



Pretty sweet deal. I think Malvin still has copies of the 47 ep anime on DVD. The show isn't as awesome as Gaogaigar, but is still pretty good(the Great Might Gaine volting in sequence theme song is rockin'!)
