Anybody here has any experience using Western Union? A friend of mine, in the US, is sending money to buy some medicines. How do I get the money?
Any help is greatly appreciated...

i dont know much about western union but its like Kwarta padala of M. Lhuillier....
i think in order to get or receive ur friend's money from the US you have to ask him when will he send it to you and he must send the money to any M.Lhuillier or maybe any pawnshops or business establishments THAT offers Western Union...
i think you must at least bring 2 valid ID's with your picture of course in order for you to receive the money...i think you can also bring ur passport also so that the people working in Western Union may know and acknowledge that you are the one who's receiving the money..
ask your friend also the control number of the receipt given to ur friend when he will be sending you the money..you will have to tell that number in order also to receive ur friends money

SGP Person sends the money via western union. The "send" and "receive" form both need the address of sender and receipient. A receipt if filled up and a control number is given/stated. Sender sends the control number to the receipient. Receipient goes to a local western union, fills up a form and places the control number as well, and claims the cash. According to their commercial, the money would be available in 30mins. |
