I'm planning to get an LCD TV but...

Hi! I'm contemplating on buying a 32" LCD TV this week but my mind is struggling what brand to buy.

I narrowed down my choices to 3:

1. Toshiba REGZA 32A3000E
2. Sharp Aquos LC 32PX5M
3. Philips 32PFL7422

Originally, I was planning on getting the new Samsung with 8000:1 contrast ratio but further research lead me that this is really more of a marketing rather than the truth because the highest contrast ratio so far is 800:1 so this gimmick is really similar to the 5000W or 2000W gimmick used in Hi-Fi component systems.

Anyone can offer some advice because the price of those 3 are literally the same.

as for the 8000:1 contrast ratio, some TVs now go up to 10,000:1, particulary those 1080p HDTVs. Samsung recently announced a 25,000:1 contrast ratio for its latest models of 40"+ LCD TVs

your best bet is to look at the models side by side or consecutively running the same picture.
