thanks all! but i might have to go back to philippines just to get my hands on this....www.bigbadtoystore.com is out of stock of this item, anywhere else that you guys know about? salamat! oh, i see. voltes v is really the big seller of the soc line, perhaps with the exception of grendizer. why don't you try buying on e-bay. i checked yesterday and there were a lot of voltes v's on sale or auction. or better yet, order online from greattoys. in any case, good luck on your search! ;D

usually almost all companies in the have their products made in china - mostly because of cheap labor.

Hey Guys how's everybody doing today. Anyways I'm a newbie with this Forem and I just had a question about GX-31 as I'm getting mine in 2 days time. Are there anyparts that need gluing or are in caution of being broken easily. I just started watching the series about a month ago and I'm already in love with it lol. Anyways Great Review by the way

Congrats Voltes Nothing seems to easily break on the toy, just be sure to fix the legs in the right postion(see first post) to prevent it from falling over Gold

Thanks alot Gold. What I did was put krazy glue on the little pegs inside the frigate which connects to the waist so voltes will have a studier waist and it seems to work so I can pose and sorta play with, but this toy is amazing with what it can do, I'm planning on buying two more(one for just to have in box and another to just have in the planes).
Hey I have two questions for you though, 1. Which SOC combiner do you think is the best between combattler V, Zambot 3, Dancouga, or the Great VOLTES V lol.
2. I have the masterpiece voltron on my christmas list this year, and I wanted to know how is it compaired to other SOC and are there any parts to worry about

Right now im watching again its anime, now I can recall what has happened, hehe. Get some more, right here on US, the price was rising up from $160 to $200! To answer your questions, IMHO ok: 1. I go with Voltes V of course. But my next will be SOC Dancouga, he is insanely huge, and very nice presence. I heard Zambot 3 has a limited posability. Combattler is nice too, planning to get one. 2. The MPC Voltron is the biggest, heavy diecast collectible I have, maybe next to MP4 Optimus Prime. Just watch out when combining the lion legs, because of contacts on the legs of the black lion, there is a tendency to chipped the chrome on its legs. Also be careful on combining the arm lions, connect it all the way so that it won't pop-out, and the last is never give up on connecting the blue lion on the legs of the black lion, this is a common issue about this toy, won't click sometimes. It is a nice figure, decent posability and you can keep up on its QC issues though. vic01

Just to add to what Vic already mentioned. SOC-wise, Dancougar is definitely the best one so far. This is how I would rank the "target list" 1) Voltron- get this first if you do plan to get it eventually down the road, since it's only limited to a 15,000 pieces release. 2) Dancougar -get this second(to Voltron) since it just got a reissue and stocks seem plentiful at the moment. 3) Gunbuster- great toy, it's going to get my Toy of the Year award over at Toyboxdx over Voltes Good detail went into the toy designs, but Dancougar still gets my overall best SOC combiner vote though(triple changer units, diecast, biggest SOC to date), despite it's flaws(loose head connection, lack of display stand) 4) Combattler - Voltes needs his older brother. 5) Zambot- nice heft but lousy articulation below the waist and I really got bummed out watching the ending of the series(pratically all the heroes died in the final battle, including aunts, uncles, grandparents.. yeah.. darn space soap operas..) Thanks Guys. I appriciate the congrats. I hope you guys are enjoy SOC Voltes as much as I am.
Vic: How do you like Voltes compared to the other Robot Animes.
Gold: lol yea that was pretty sad in Zambot 3, I was surprised as the only one that lived was the main character I think. But anyways How many SOC's Have they produced for the Voltes V as well as the others and are they limited. I wasn't sure about Dancouga because of the problems I heard with flimsness, but It definity looks great. I still was planning to look for a Zambot 3, but Nobody seems to have it but we'll have to see. What do you hope the next SOC is after Ideon?

Hehe no idea, but if I would have to guess it would most probably be in the high 20,000+ units production. I think Greattoys Greenhills branch still has Zambot. My personal wish for the next SOC would have to be of course Daimos or Danguard. Unfortunately the reality is that the next SOC after Ideon will be King Joe(an Ultraman Seven villain). How he got into the SOC lineup I'll never understand. The good news is that we'll be getting Raideen the Brave SOC in 2007. Gold

SPOILER!!! Bummer... i've always wanted this kind of dramas in a anime, too bad the toy is not of my liking. How was the HK subbing of Zambot, good?
