if back in 1977...I remember that $1 =7 pesos...

If(which i am not sure) the rate of the $ then to yen was
$1 = Y120 more or less

So the robot then must have been approximately

$70 more or less...

Because I remember that when i wanted to buy that robot I had 700 pesos and it was for sale for 500 pesos at that time and i was allowed to buy it with my money ;D
