Thanks for the news master Gold!
*Sigh* I guess you're right. I mean it would be a bad move on Playkit's part to release the Joes while the TF craze is still happening. It might be another couple of weeks or months.
You think they might have a grand opening thingie for the Joes as well like the TF movie line?

No problem Papabear. I doubt they'll have a grand launching for the Joes if ever. No media tie-in and I'm not sure if there are any local Joe collector groups like Cybertron Philippines who really pushed for the toylaunch. Gold

Some updates on Gijoe 25th. Rumor has it that Playkit will roll out the line in September and there might be a toylaunch event to kickstart it. Nothing confirmed yet. Hope this will be true. Here're some pics of the next wave of Joes from the SDCC www.toybender.com/gi-joe-at-sdcc-part-1/#more-1102Hehe, color- changing face Zartan. Also note the next wave of Cobras (mostly repaints though) at the bottom of the link. Also, thanks to Freakenstein over at the PTK forums for this image. If Gijoe has Sergeant Slaughter, Destro gets Rowdy Roddy Piper to train his Iron Grenadier troops!! I'm not exactly sure if this is legit or if it will be an exclusive. Looks interesting though. Gold

Sorry Kid, looks like they sold out fast, GT was only able to get 4 pieces (2 gold and 2 silver headed). They're not sure if they can still reorder.

This line is really shaping up to be a great homage to the classic Joe line. I really like the upcoming Beach Head and Firefly figures. And I hope the Sgt. Slaughter, Airtight, and Pythona custom figures unveiled at the San Diego Comic Con will make it into the regular series. ;D BTW, I managed to get Flint, Hooded Cobra Commander and Cobra Officer as well.

from toy news, inc. comes pics of custom and upcoming figs in gi joe's 25th anniversary line (pics from the recent san diego comic con): the customs (guaranteed to make the joe collector drool... ;D) leatherneck, shockwave, lifeline, and zarana airtight (fantastic re-make), sgt. slaughter, cobra-la's pythona (golobulus' female bodyguard/assassin), and alley viper [glow=red,2,300]if hasbro is reading this, please (1,000 times) include these customs in the regular 25th anniversary line...[/glow] now for the upcoming figs: shipwreck with his trusty parrot, polly serpentor, without his air chariot red ninja (for obvious reasons they can't call him "satan", which is his argentine code name) - great weapons, though firefly, shaping up to be one of my favorites in the line (set for october release) beach head, another favorite, is scheduled for release next month and the 2nd wave cobra 5-pack, with black cobra commander, dragon-version storm shadow, the cobra air trooper and the stinger driver this line is shaping up to be a collector's treat!

no prob, MZ. i also like that custom airtight figure. hope it makes the cut for the 25th anniv. line. and a sci-fi figure would definitely be a must-have! how about wet-suit or the crimson guard? ;D btw, in toy news inc's interview with hasbro, there was mention of a doc (medic) figure that would be released as a mail-away exclusive. i wonder why they don't just make him a regular release. re: your question, my 25th anniv. joe collection is still MISB/MOSC...for the moment, that is...

here's an updated pic of wave 3 of the 25th anniv line. some details of note: 1. good call on making zartan's weapon a sniper's rifle. gives him a more menacing, true-blue assassin feel. 2. the new stalker figure looks great, especially in that camo uniform (maybe it would look better if the tint was a little darker) 3. the cobra trooper's rifle has a wood forearm - nice touch of realism ;D wave 3 is scheduled for release in october, along with the new cobra battle pack.

have to agree with Stalker, they should made him a little bit darker (that light shade of color makes him like a KO) well, that's just my opinion lang.... does the Zartan figure also have the same gimmick like from the old school, changes color when you put him under the sun or light?
I guess, we will be expecting yours somewhere in October also from BBTS..... heheh....
