Stalker: Great fig but the shade is a tad bright for my taste. Shipwreck: never did like him. never had a fig of him. Firefly: Head could be improved though IMO. Snake-Eyes: Again? Red Ninja: Uh oh. i know its a legit argentinian release before but do we really need him? its just an excuse to repaint SS. Cobra Soldier: OK. the straps and rifle looks good. but this is another case of repaintting a fig. Instead of releasing figs like Crimson Guard or Cobra Viper they opted to release two repains and one repeat.

Nice one Bruticus!!
Wow, the red Ninja looks great! I like Zartan and Shipwreck though the new articulation doesn't really go good with the overall design. They make the torsos of the others seem too lanky. Unlike Snake eyes that can be covered by the grenade belt and the extra ammo that firefly carries.
I agree with you bro Checkmate. Sgt. Stalker is indeed too bright. Regular camo patterns in a darker shade of olive green might have been better. Oh well, can't expect them to be perfect.

@ MZ: you know me so well...hehehehe ;D. i will post pics of the actual toys when they get delivered (from BBTS) . i agree that stalker's bright color makes him look a bit like a KO no word about the changing skin color effect, but i don't think the 25th anniv version has it. the gimmick on the vintage fig was limited to those body parts with skin color, which, sadly, this zartan lacks. the only skin-color part here is the face. @ checkmate: like you, i was actually looking forward to a crimson guard or a viper, only to find out that they're reissuing the cobra trooper instead. @ papabear: no problem, bro. i agree with you that the new joints make shipwreck look a little "sexy" , and not in a good way...

Here's another 25th anniv. line update: New pics of the Con exclusive Rowdy Roddy Piper figure (with removeable helmet, jacket, and kilt - yep, you read that right... ) click on the link, please: www.mastercollector.com/neat/gijoe/atlanta/RoddyPiperpreview.cfmlimited to 1,000 units, so this is sure to skyrocket in price after the Con.

Hmmm, I like the new upcoming figs. I agree that Sgt. Stalker looks "bright". His colors remind me of frozen pops and my old Joes colored with Stabilo Boss. ^_^
Hay, I hope they decide to also come out with the nice vehicles for these babies; Sky Striker, Dragon Fly, Tomahawk and the other good stuff! ^_^

@ matt: like you, i hope they release those vintage vehicles. i'm also looking forward to those you mentioned, and also to the killer whale, the mauler tank, and the cobra hiss tank. @ moja: the 25th anniv line uses the same character design as the vintage figures, but the mold is more like a 3 3/4" version of the marvel legends line (especially in terms of the articulation). ;D

@ moja: yup, more or less the same size, give or take one millimeter or so. 25th anniv. destro is a bit bigger than his vintage counterpart, though.
i'll try to post comparison pics soon. ;D

Ah, what if I buy a Tomahawk (the 80's version), will the new figs fit? Yeah, I'm HOPING and WAITING for the new 25th Anniv pics. I laid low from collecting TFs for the moment, I'll be purchasing the ROCC and RHINO from a fellow collector also. I hope Moja reads this, he he he!
@brut: They said that the RAH Hiss Tank is also cool! I'd like to see an updated version of the Killer Whale and an Apache styled Dragonfly. ^_^

was fortunate enough to get hold of this rare GI Joe 25th Anniversary Silver Pimp Daddy Destro (this is a San Diego Comic Convention exclusive, supposedly limited to only 1,000 pieces - 500 with a silver head and 500 with a gold head) front (notice that his battle stand is also colored silver) close-up (basically a recolor of the regular 25th Anniv. Destro) back (with an intro into the production of the Pimp Daddy version)

Anyway, finally, our good friend Mojacko was able to score the 25th Anniversary GI Joe set. It's good that my upcoming ROCC will have passengers na. Congrats to Bruticus for the new Pimp Daddy Destro!
