Thoughts on the new CM's Corp. GGGG:
-lots of diecast! Gaigar's torso(not counting the lion chest), thighs and legs are all diecast.
Genesic's legs are 75 percent diecast. The only non-diecast parts are the claws, chrome drills and upper half of the red part (where the drills are attached).
-Toy stands roughly 9-10 inches tall.
Tv GGG and GGGG
-Weight of the toy is roughly around 1220grams.. 20 grams heavier than MPC Voltron!!! Making this baby the heaviest gokin toy in my collection
(BTW, the all plastic 12 inch DX version clocks in at 1300grams, while the Maxfactory one is at 1000grams.)
-The Goldion Hammer fits!
Now for the negatives:
-loose groin and knee joints. Better be careful how you pose this toy, since the wings make it top heavy, one might have to "hyperflex" the thighs backward and hyperflex the knees forward a bit to lock them in, to prevent it from falling down(but actually, it's not really as bad as it sounds..)
However, You
can pose it standing upright, just takes practice. The other joints(arms, shoulders, etc) are very tight. Almost all the joints are ratchet joints. It's too bad the ones in the groin and knees are really weak.
-no display stand or some sort of support for the toy(hey, even Star GGG had that puny prop...
)
-No "bolts" for the bolting driver.
-No "Hell and Heaven fists".. just two open hands..
-Lots of very small plastic pieces. Be careful when assembling or posing the toy. The fins in the shoulders can break if you don't know what your doing. Take it slow( I cannot stress this enough).
I even opted to pull out the shoulder connections and rotate the peg then plug it in again, in order to prevent "accidents" when posing the arms.
-very small shoulder connection slots.. Yessshhh! You'd think with that big block already in place, instead of the original anime connection design, they could've made a bigger and better connection piece. Not a very good decision on CM's part.
-very loose head/helmet(not as bad as the GGG but loose is loose). Also, The gold parts on GGGG's head go all the way into the helmet. So now my Gaigar's head's sides has some yellow stains on it
..
Overall:
It's the best looking GGGG toy, it's got the anime proportions and looks down pat and has a lot of accessories, plus it transforms and has plenty of diecast and heft. You can even fool around with it and the Tv GGG and make your own "Frankenstein" GGG from the parts. Plus the price tag of 200$ isn't that bad(try paying for a 700$ one without diecast and accessories, and had a lot of design problems and came with a black and white manual from hell..now that hurts..).
Frankenstein GGG
The somewhat loose groin and knee joints and skinny shoulder connectors really hurt the toy, it would've been really something great if these flaws weren't present in the toy.
Given the choice between the Maxfactory or this one, I'd go with the Maxfactory, if you're looking for a toy.
Maxfactory and CM's Corp GGGGs
But if you're looking for something that stands out in your display cabinet, the diecast CMs GGGG will catch anyone's eye!
