yes, I, for one, held off on getting the china manufactured trailer as I felt that Takara would one day release an official trailer. Now that they're about to, its rather annoying that its bundled with the MP-01. As such, we'll now have to fork out serious $ if we want the official trailer.

Anyway, I hope that there are at least other add-ons or improvements on Prime himself to make this set worthwhile.

Otherwise, its a major bummer!

about a variety of new arrivals, more new preorders, and another big announcement from Takara.

MP-04 MASTERPIECE COMPLETE CONVOY & TRAILER: Takara will release the definitive version of Optimus Prime this September with the new Masterpiece MP-04 Giftset. This large boxed set will feature the Masterpiece Convoy (its unknown if they will make any upgrades or changes to the existing MP prime) as well as an all new, Takara built, Plastic and Die-Cast trailer. The addition of the trailer to this set nearly doubles the wholesale cost versus Convoy alone. Given the complexity and quality of Prime, I think its safe to say that a trailer priced in that same ballpark is going to be pretty sweet with all the bells and whistles. Its unknown if Roller will be included, but I'm again guessing the trailer will include everything you would hope for in a high end item like this.

There do not appear to be any plans to release the trailer separately at this point, but having a second copy of Prime around to display in the alternate mode can't be a bad thing. The price is set at $189.99. The preliminary image is of the old MP-01 Cardboard trailer, we'll update this as soon as more photos of the actual new trailer surface. (**** PLEASE NOTE: Takara is replacing the re-release of the MP-01 with the new MP-04 set, so the MP-01 will not be reissued and has been canceled.)

This is really good and favored for the ones who doesn't have a MP-01. I can say based from the price $189.99 (I experienced cheaper prices on most asian countries), expect it going to be cheaper in PI.
