When are they going to create a plastic version of this? I want a version that you could transform over and over again without having to worry about paint chips.

DANG!! I want one, I was thinking of passing this one over since I already have the original Takara version and I only like this figure's base. Looks like I'll be adding this to my checklist as well.

latest update in TransformersWorld states that it will have the same amount of diecast as the original after they announce before that it would be 100% plastic. so which is it really?

C/O Tformers, a fan was able to record the phrases that the base of the 20th Anniversary Optimus Prime. tformers.com/article.php?sid=6582Sadly, the voice isn't that of Peter Cullen. You can basically hear 4 phrases. "Autobots Transform and roll out" "I want you to make a special run to autobot city" "Megatron must be stopped" "All we need is a little energon and a lot of luck" and the classic transforming sound.

hi! I just saw this figure today at GT Makati and it's awful. (My opinion only) The voice is disappointing coz it's not Petter Cullen's voice! I don't know who's voice was that but its pretty lame. The color is so dull and what can I say get a MP-01 re-issue instead. Hey but don't take my word for it. Go and see for yourself.

I was able to take a close look at the Prime over the weekend. Box was extremely heavy, I dunno if the Prime had diecast or if the base is really that heavy.
I can't put my finger on it but the Prime looks "kiddie-like" to me, maybe it's the color of the gun, the head antennae being packaged lowered down of the color scheme which wasn't as glossy as the original or sumthin. I can't quite explain it but for the price, good deal I guess. Will probably buy one if I've got some extra cash lying around (which is doubtful) but I wouldn'd prioritize it just yet.
