Thanks to TFW2005 for the news. Pic of the upcoming 20th Anniversary Prime reissue: The article also confirms that the electronic base plays lines from the original Movie to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the original Transformers Movie.

Great! The smoke stacks/titanium tosion bars look longer too! Don't know if I want him though... have pre-ordered the MP-04 with the trailer already but if I have some cash to burn maybe I will! Thanks for the photo.

sweet repaint. definitely buyin this. now if only he say's those lines from his fight with megatron: "one shall stand and one shall fall" besides the usual transform and roll out lines. i wouldn't mind a magnus from hasbro that screams:"i can't deal with that now!!!"

The paint looks much more meaner than the previous release but just like viper, I would go with the MP-04. Have to slow down on the expenses muna, he he he!

Since I already have an MP Prime, and I'm not even sure that I will be getting MP-04 if it just have a trailer, this is a definite pass for me.

I'm curious though, is Hasbro really going to reissue the MP01 with full smokestacks now?

latest indications from S250 and Kickback, both of TFW2005, confirm that the longer smokestacks are in fact not present.

Huh, Prime looks uncomfortable in that pose/packaging... even his antena were held down : ( I guess if they wanted to cut production costs in packaging then they should have packaged it in truck form. Anyway, I think it's better to get the reissue of MP-01 Takara (I think its available now) than this or get the Hasbro UK MP-01 edition- anyway I'm still looking forward to MP-04. Hopefully, it will not dissappoint.

i don't see where they cut costs. hell, t hey made NEW packaging. cutting costs would be reusing the old packaginmgm and not spending any time or money or energy designing a new box. i AM amused by how it's the "DVD edition" but it also proclaims that "DVD is not included". hehehe. there's a better pic of the packaging that has Prime's head and chest in better positioning. the box is the right height. good thing he's a toy and can't feel anything. up to you if you're going to be disappointed by the fact that you have to join a Japanese tf club thing and spend a lot of extra just to get Roller and cartoon-color Starscream.

OMG! They are really milking a lot of money from us. I wish they can sell prototype transformers without colors so you have the liberty of choosing which colors to apply -- (Do-it-yourself Paint/Repaint) ;D
