hey tf guys. saw a lot of sellers on ebay selling this "reissue" of the G1 dinobot swoop mint in sealed box/insert: cgi.ebay.ca/TRANSFORMERS-G1-US-DINOBOT-KO-REISSUE-SWOOP-MISB-0-99_W0QQitemZ250086057494QQihZ015QQcategoryZ4696QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItemi've asked around the ebay community, and they say it's an exact replica of the G1 swoop, right down to the box specs (some say with the exception of the factory tape). sellers claim that they compared it with the G1 version and that everything in this KO version, including die-cast and chrome parts, are exactly the same as the G1 version. while some claim that hasbro or a related company manufactured it, others say that a korean company issued it. any thoughts on whether it's worth getting, especially since an misb G1 swoop can cost hundreds of dollars?

yes, some shops in GH have this on stock. no bubble packaging inside, but i've seen it MIB, and apparently it really is a good KO. compared to actually shelling out a bundle for a genuine, but pricey old G1 version. so far, images of the prototype of this KO came out around before xmas. no other G1 slated yet for next KO... hopefully i'm mistaken...
it was previously thought that the prototype was that for the WSTF swoop (which has yet to see the light of day, along with the WSTF sludge).
crossing my fingers and toes for a grimlock KO. BTW, in the commemorative series of G1 TF, on the insert, you see prime vs megatron, sunstreaker vs (i forgot who), and gasp! grimlock vs soundwave. did a grimlock reissue actually come out? i hope i didnt miss out on such a great toy...

Here's a side by side comparison with the G1 toy over at AC toys: www.actoys.net/bbs/read.php?tid=162287It's got diecast but the paint job is awful, scratches, missing face paint, dents in the backside, plus the wings don't close all the way in. The good news is that the manual and catalogue are pretty spot on to the original. For $50 i guess it would be a good buy but not for $100. Gold
