Prime and Bumblebee's designs are pretty close to their Classics line design, so you could say that those toys are already available already...

Hmmm...its actually looking pretty good.... and I thought I'd stop getting TF's after the movie....and now this..... haha! Although the concept of TF's being like superheroes is kinda new....it's not really that bad an idea. I just wonder how they'll deliver. Will watch the series first before making any judgements.

Well I like the idea of 90% TF animation accurate of the toy line Well as far as I concern when I saw the preview it gives me the chills specially when I saw the dinobots even in a split of time. They give the New TF more modern attitude to suite most of the viewers taste, adult and child a like.

I was initially apprehensive, but I'm starting to like the stylish look they gave and probably the most show-accurate TFs (not to mentino pretty good-looking) toys ever!!!
Love Starscream's voice. I'm sure most of you don't realize that he is sharing the same VA as Spongebob Squarepants. Excellent job.
Glad to see the animated series coming back to the U.S. To be honest, I have never liked any of the Japanese-produced shows. Cybertron was probably the most decent but it is still weak compared to other Western shows and anime as well.

NICE PREVIEW!!! aww... I do really miss those good old times @ cmdrjanjalani Your right about those Japanese produce TFs. Actually if you saw the closing of the g1 episode you'll see most of the animators are actually japanese. IMO when they've produce Japanese TFs on that time the super robots are more dominant on the animation industry and since it was shown on the US most of the fans didn't accept the fact of reviving and killing more characters and probably having more and more additional new characters.

What I didn't like about the previous cartoons is exactly what some of the networks are saying they will cure in this movie:
- Decepticons being more of a threat. If you fight and defeat Megatron and the other Cons every episode it becomes boring. Cybertron tried to make up for it with Megatron and Starscream actually becoming major threats and one-man armies, but the rest of the Decepticons were mostly bumbling individuals or misguided ones that eventually joined the Autobots. I'm expecting more than the original cast, but the other 'Bots and 'Cons will probably be guest roles or 'freaks of the week'.
- Kids bossing around the TFs. I know there is a kid in the series, but according to them this kid will not have the same annoying involvement as before. In Armada the kids were useless, in Energon Kicker was whiney and annoying. On Cybertron, they actually had some use, but Lori was too bossy even with Flame Convoy (Scourge).
- Better continuity. Galaxy Force was not related to Armada and Energon but Hasbro forced it anyway and it does not make sense in some cases. Some characters in Armada disappear in Energon with no explanation at all.
I hope that would cut down on cheesy mysticism stuff like "friendship and love will conquer everything" crap, stock footage of transformations constantly being used and the very Japanese habit of characters shouting their moves. I'm also happy there are no real gimmicks beyond transforming. Transforming was and should always be the gimmick, IMO.
Some more, I hope there would be less focus on Optimus Prime as we know that TakaraTomy has an almost uncomfortable fixation on "Convoy". He is still the main character, but there should always be time to give the other characters their spotlight. More Decepticons is always good, since for the last few series before the movie, Autobots have grossly outnumbered the Decepticons (minus the mindless drones, they don't count). It was even more ridiculous in Cybertron when almost every Decepticon defected to the Autobots.

Just wanted to clarify that when I meant Japanese-produced shows, I meant those who are in production, which includes writers, directors, actors, etc. Animation can be done in whatever country they are but that's not necessarily makes them a Japanese show. For example, the Simpsons are actually being drawn by Koreans but does not make it a Korean show. Some U.S. cartoons are even outsourcing the animation in the Philippines. I think there are very few cartoons nowadays actually being animated in the U.S. Most of the time, if it's hand drawn, it's not done there but in some other country.
