it's exclusive to botcon... i dont think they will sell it in the mass market... most of the botcon pieces remained exclusive only to botcon...
... downside is that it will cost you an arm and a leg if you want to complete the classics line...

If I have all the money in the world, albeit the figures being "exclusives", I'd rather buy a MISB or MIB G1 Victory Saber than this total rip-offs. Then again, if you want to complete the line............

someone's bitter. ripoffs? they're expensive, is all. i don't see how that makes them ripoffs.
running a convention and collector club of this quality takes money. and to make money, people have to attend the convention and buy the exclusives. OBVIOUSLY the exclusives are going to be prime "people WANT these" material.
these are *specially produced* items that were NEVER going to be available at regular retail numbers [if Hasbro were to release these at retail they would not have allowed the Club to use these decos for the molds]. less of these made means prices have to be raised in order not to defeat the purpose of making them in the first place [that purpose being raising attendance/order numbers and raising money for the convention and club works].
it's expensive, yes. but if we collectors/fans/whatever are not familiar with the concept of "want this? gimme money" by NOW, well, when will we be? we deal with stuff like that on a regular basis almost. why is this suddenly a ripoff?
bottom line: odds are that we would NOT have been getting these remolds/recolors if not for this. it's simply not good business sense to flood the market with multiple redecos of the same mold within such a short span of time [oh, sure, we MIGHT have seen Thundercracker in, say, 2008 after the Movie stuff flood -- but that is in no way for certain]. it's gonna cost us if we want to get them, but hey, welcome to the world.

This is the main reason i'v quit my classics Seeker collection coz of these darn botcon exclusives.. unless you have a lot of mulah to shell out to complete the whole classics line..

fistofdoomI myself just started my TF collection and it's really saddening to see good looking Seeker toys as expensive stuff. I wish I can collect T-Rex Grimlocks but they're too htf so I just go for whatever I get to want. These two seem nearly impossible for me to get, too bad I seem to be having Thundercracker as my fave Seeker and this expensive price+htf thingy happens. I think I can still go for the Thundercracker so I can complete the 1st 3 Seekers, since I can easily get Skywarp, and also I already have Starscream.
