For the Roys, like Hayabusa said the first Issue was the one with problems. However, the best Issue was the 2nd Issue first few batches as everything was perfect. Later batches of the second Issue the paint job may not be as clean, basing on the one I got and someone mentioning about it in another forum as he got the early batch of the 2nd Issue which still had the velcro on the box while the later batch didn't have and he saw the later batched. The third Issue paint job was nice but majority of them had a slight crooked skull on one of the tail fin. Some people had claimed they received a straight one, but you will not realy notice it until you compare a crooked one to a straight one. So this is not really confirmed whether a straight skull third issue exists. However, it is not as bad as the first Issue crooked skull problem. The fourth Issue also had very nice paint job, but the crooked skull problem is still there. However, some ppl have been lucky and managed to receive a perfect one with no problems. This one is confirm for sure as I have seen pics of a straight skull on the Roy, however, with the 3 I had all mine were crooked.
Oh yeah, first issue has the old nose cone which tend to fall easier. Also, the wind flaps were the old design which can also fall quite easily. Canopy of the first issue Roy can also be loose and the arms will not bend to a nice 90 degree. I think that's most of the problems in the first issue. Reason for Roy having 4 Issues is that it's the most popular one.

This may be good news for you, as there are rumors going on now that the VF-1S Hikaru will be reissued in January 2006. A person has already put them up on ebay. Also in another forum, a person is taking preorders too. I don't know how concrete this is, but i will believe it more when I see it up on japan online sites like HLJ. If you are planning to get the VF-0S, maybe you should consider to get the VF-1S Roy. Shouldn't be too hard to find as it has been issued for a fourth time and the last time was about 3 months ago. I think Malvin still have stock as I see him having it up on ebay. yep! it's in HLJ now to be released this January...

the 1/48's i told myself i'd just buy a 1J hikaru with the fastpack... i ended up buying the 1S Focker and a fast pack... then i told myself "ok na 'ko rito"... then Yamato ruined my life by making a 1/48 GBP-1S... so i had no choice but to look for a 1J (got it last dec)... GBP, last saturday... and finally "ok na 'ko rito"... but wait... wat about the Max & Myria? ok, fine, just two more, then "ok na 'ko rito"... but wait, may cannon fodder pa pala... at 1S hikaru, at low viz at... ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!! gotta have more! Anyone else feeling like this? hehe dapat may warning sign sa box "Cauton: highly addictive" And to think i almost bought the Bandais... (not that anything's wrong with them, the 1/48's are just better) my suggestion to anyone who's thinking of getting a 1/48: don't think, just get one (or two, or three, or...)
