the "do you remember love" line of toys is based on the macross movie of the same title. most of them are of the 1/60 scale (1a hikaru, 1a max, elintseeker, super ostritch and the max and miria quaedrono) and 3 1/48. (vf-1s hikaru, 1a hikaru and max)

The movie valkyrie designs are being used by Big West due to Macross series license disputes with Harmony Gold, the american company responsible to bringing Robotech. The basic valks look the same, VF-1J and Roy's VF-1S but new design valyries were introduced, such as what rye23 has pointed out.
"Do You Remember Love" (DYRL) depicts strike fastpack for the squad leaders as oppose to just super fastpack in Robotech. I suggest you see the movie. It's one of the best anime movies in 20 years! You get to understand what the protoculture is all about. They are the alien race resposible for the creation of Zendrati, Meltrans and possibly humans. In Robotech, protoculture some kind of energy source.
I try to collect the 1/48s and started with the alpha line. Yun nga lang, kulang sa funds kaya yung scott bernard land nabili ko. hehehe. good luck on your collection!

hmmmm ok i went around this afternoon and checked out the prices. please do let me know if they're good. sorry na rin in advance if i misspell anything. 1. masterpiece vol.1 rick hunter : 9 thou For that amount, you can add another 1K and you can get either the Super VF-1J Hikaru/Milia/Max, or get any regular 1/48 VF-1, and buy the FAST Pack Set. More bang for your buck. +1k= You can buy the 1/100 Scale VB-6 Koenig Monster (which has better collectibility in the long run), or buy a 1/48 Roy Focker -1K= you can buy a 1/60 Queadluun Rau Same Amount= you can buy 2 1/60 Valkyries. 1 regular, 1 armored With the price quotes you posted, you're better off adding another thousand and go home with a far more superior product, both aesthetically, and investment wise.

ayan i'm slowly learning how to understand the line.. that's good. sad lang ako na walang alpha line ang yamato. i loved that series. yung mga naka motorbikes pa sila. so yamato na malamang kunin ko. problem naman is scale. dunno why yamato had to put out so many scales pa... 1:48 yamato... looks like this is the one sticking out in a positive way by you guys. can someone please post or send me a complete list of the 1:48s? and ito ba yung sinabi nyong kelangan pa tanggalin yung feet to transform? very much thanks again mga kapatid. i greatly appreciate your help.

1/48 line is perfect transformation meaning you don't have to remove any part for it to transform into the 3 modes. Only the 1/60 line has the detachable legs for transformation. From What I remember these are the list of 1/48 in chronological order:
VF-1A Hikaru VF-1S Roy VF-1A Max Struke/Super Fastpack VF-1A Low Visibility "Bulky Lee" VF-1S Hikaru VF-1J Hikaru (both non-Super and Super) VF-1J Super Max and Miriya VF-1A CF (Brown) GBP Armor
of course there are the reissues in between and thereafter.

errr... the supers are about 9k each kasi they have na the super fastpacks. Some, like the VF-1A Max, Low-Viz and VF-1S Hikaru (although a reissue is coming i think) have gone up in prices due to their rarity. Low-Viz sells for about 15k! Maybe you can start off with what you like most? Again good luck.

mapapa-isip ka talaga sa presyo, pero that's going to happen over and over again in this hobby.
if you are just starting your collection, and money is an issue, umpisahan mo na lang sa K&M gashapon Macross series (Volumes 1 and 2), nandoon halos lahat ng major mechs. next try out any Bandai 1/55, then get the 1/60 Yamato Super or Strike Valkyrie set. then get the separate GBP armor. Kung hindi ka pa satisfied, tsaka ka bumili ng 1/48 series ng Yamato.
and don't forget, there are excellent Hasegawa model kits of both aircraft and battroid modes of various VFs. you might want to try those if you still don't see yourself coughing up thousands for these toys.

If you think about it, the a 1/48 vf-1j hikaru/rick and a vf-1s roy yamato at 6.8k will cost you 13.6k as oppose to 15k for the 2 masterpieces. With the Yamato 1/48's, you'll get the better designed items and 1.4k change left in your wallet! Eh? Where'd you find 1/48 scale Yamato Valkyries for P6.8k?
