oh. so he's the guy who was shot down in while they (hikaru and max) were on their way to intercept the meltran in DYRL? poor guy. if theres one thing thats annoying for a sub-character, its being shot down before getting any action... is kakizaki the guy who's known as "ben" in the robotech series? That's the problem with the cannon fodder (brown VF1A) in Robotech... you do not want to pilot one of those during battles... I'm sure that you will always be the first to go... ... kinda like being an ensign in Star Trek... you do not want to join the away team on missions ;D is kakizaki the guy who's known as "ben" in the robotech series? Like what v2 said, it came out during the battle on earth between skull squadron which was then led by Max in his blue VF-1S, Hikaru in his Red VF-1A and Kakizaki in his green VF-1A against Milia and the Meltrans. Which makes me wonder...if kakizaki didn't die how would the chain of command be then? |

hmm... isnt it its hikaru who's the squad leader, and max would be the 2nd in command (which is ironically because he's better than hikaru)...
come to think of it... red, blue and green VF-1As............

Based on the series stoyryline, Roy heads skull squadron with Hikaru in his group. After Hikaru gets promoted to 2nd Leutenant, he gets Max and Kakizaki as his subordinates thus making him head his own team, Vermillion Squadron.
In DYRL, Hikaru, Max and Kakizaki are under Skulll Squadron headed by Roy. When Roy dies, Hikaru supposedly should be next in line, to lead the squad but since him and Misa "disappear" for a month, Max takes command since he's more skilled than Kakizaki.
