Basically this is the "mini-sequel" to the DYRL movie. Minmay gives her final concert on Earth before leaving onboard the first earth colonization vessel Megaroad 1. The movie basicallly contains music videos of the songs that came out in the series as well as several flashback shots of events that happened in the movie and the series.
The ending of the movie sees megaroad 1 leaving Earth with Minmay singing to the crowd below. At the helm of Megaroad is Misa Hayase escorted by Hikarus skull squadron flying in VF-4 Lightnings.
Which makes me wonder...To those who saw this movie, was that Britais ship flying beside Megaroad 1?

Bro I've also saw this one, The 1st scene is were Minmei practicing for the concert that was the ending on the Macross DYRL... and after that the actual concert itself... flashbacks of the series and movie... but after awhile Minmei returned to that concert hall that was all mess up is it like ages ago when the concert ends?... then Misa and Hikaru showed up to picked-up Minmei.... but it ends like a concert again... In my own opinion the last part were everyone is leaving the earth again is about the mission going to Tirol as an expeditionary force... but the confusing part is at the Sentinels Minmei and Janis hide to get into the SDF3...

Interesting post however, the Sentinel's animation you are referring to is part of the Robotech Saga which includes an edited version of Macross while the 2012 Flashback is part of the original series and is not part of the Robotech storylines so there is no conflict between both versions. Think of it as the American version (Robotech) and the different Japanese version (Macross). |

But you can't ignore that almost everyone saw Robotech 1st before we knew that it was an edited version of Macross,Southern Cross and Mospeada... but anyway its all co-related in a sense... I still enjoy until this the day the war,love triangle,mecha.....

You're right about that point. All I am saying is that the Robotech saga is a different storyline from the original Macross saga so you can't really treat each later "episode" as part of the same story. Peace.

So Megaroad is the "new" SDF-1? Sort of yes it is... Megaroad or they call it SDF3(in Robotech)... that's the last part of Macross... they also showed the new Valkyries... close resemblance to Macross 7 Valkyries |

@ wvn111: Honestly when I was in Pinas I got a copy at Recto... It's actually a Macross 7 movie but to my surprise the last part was the Flashback 2012...
