if i remember correctly, the Yamato 1/48 scale does have the perfect transformation sequence. if you're going to buy now, i think it would be best to pick the Yamato 1/48.

does the macross vf-1a 1/60 mass production is the old generation yamato with the not so detailed in transformation? sorry im just a newbie here trying to buy my first vf... or should i go with the black vf-1s 1/48 25th anniversary..please help..thanks are you referring to the one offered on the sale threads? yes, its the "old generation" which requires parts swapping - you detach the legs themselves and connect them to slots found on the nosecone. its a "cheap" but its a direct transformation scheme that is less hassle. the 1/48 series is referred as the "perfect transformation" because it uses a "T-brace" that shifts the legs themselves to a hatch below the nosecone when the unit transforms from fighter/gerwalk to battroid mode and vice versa. transforming this is also quite frustrating for first timers but once you get the hang of it, its relatively easy. |
