.. we don't know what improvements/modifications the upcoming 1/60s would have then... 1 thing i noticed from the scanned pics was the Canopy's kinda off scale in fighter mode.. it's kinda more bloated.. guess they made some adjustments on the canopy.. based on the profile of the pic, the re-molded cockpit/canopy area looks more faithful to the anime. this series will probably be nearly entirely plastic though, much like the 1/48 series; that's the only way they can get in the necessary small parts/details... but if the new 1/60 does turn out to be consistent with the 1/60 VFs of M0 and M+, what scale does that make the old 1/60s? would they then be more appropriately called 1/72s? anyway, i am not minded to get another collection of 1/60 VF-1s since i completed the first series, and i like the amount of die-cast metal in them. i'll probably just get a couple of samples as i did with the 1/48s...

that's a nice 1/60 VF-1S update. is that the new 1/60 scaled Valkyries? looks good. anime accurate. though i find the back pack quite thin.

fighter: - nosecone looks really too short. either i've been holding the 1/48 too long or something... - body looks good - no pilot figure?! - i guess they've omitted the wing flaps feature. - lotsa tampa printing!!!
gerwalk: - the backpack intake looks odd. - no antenna?! - the way the legs are engineered is purely 1/48 but the joints themselves are new.
battroid: - the latch for the backpack is reversed from the 1/48 - this time its located from the backpack itself and attaches to the main body. - I LOVE THE HANDS! thats how it should be made!
overall i think this is promising but knowing yamato, i'll get the 3rd release or the strike pack set.

those are still preproduction pics... not yet the final look, per grahams statement
as for the pilot.. it wasn't approved yet, when the pictorial took place..
one thing i'm crossing my fingers.. please make the decals tampo printed as much as possible.. it appears it's got lesser t. print details!

is this have perfect transformations unlike the 1st editions? If you look at Kawamori's original design sketches for the VF-1, the original Yamato 1/60's are more accurate than most people give it credit for. Yes, they detach from the main body, and there is no cross-bar that swings down.

yes they have perfect transformation already..
if by the term, we mean that its transformation does not require removing and/or adding different pieces to complete the transformation process into its many modes.. unlike most other transforming toys, like the early transformer's jets or the first 1/60s..

by the way.. i don't think dose decals are tampo prints... there that slight discoloration on the immediate outer part of each decals.. some have square shape.. (just like with what will happen when using stick on decals)
