new line from Yamato. The GN-U Duo series. first in the series is battroids from Macross Plus. it stands around 13cm. fully-posable. non-transformable. and materials are made of PVC, ABS, POM.
May 2008 release date. 3000yen.
looks great. just like the artwork from Kawamori. esp the proportions on YF-19 & YF-21.

I think I'll pass on this one... although I like their proportion and coloring. I think their revoltech counter part is also going to be release a month after and its a 1000yen cheaper, Its worth the wait anyway.

Are these supposed to have metal diecast content or something? What distinguishes them from the Revoltech line, which is also coming out with the YF-19/21 at about the same time?

Their revoltech counterparts look better IMO. The poses displayed so far for these figures look stiff compared to the dynamic poses of the revoltechs. Atleast the Yamatos stayed with the correct proportions and paid attention to details. But still, I can't seem to justify its price just for that.

Hmmm that Macross plus YF-21 Battroid looks like an Asshimar with a blue color on it ... ;D
