Pre-Review, someone was waiting for it.
HMM04 - Genosaurer
From the word Genocide which mean is the deliberate and systematic destruction of an ethnic, racial, religious or national group. destruction leads to death. DeathSaurer
REVIEW/OPINION
This kit is not so special except its a Genosaurer..
Im expecting to much for this kit because its the fourth
one and the most expensive, I thought that the logic
"more expensive more parts", but for this kit its a NO!!!
Yes its a master model, a detailed replica of its OJR/NJR
counterpart, much meaner looking, much terror in looking,
much better color in the original BUT the head and the
body is so #####NG small!!!! Come on, yes maybe they design
is small to be much more sleeker to assume its quite agile
but why design it so straight??? They could give it a little
curve or bulk in the body. The original Genosaurer is more
bulkier. And the head, if you see it front view you can't
see the eyes, the original has a meanacing looks even in
front view, but this seen in front view well NO. I think you
get my point.
Back to the review...
The Head
Nothing expectacular with the head, it comes with two option
guns that you could choose from. The CPC hinders the mouth
from chomping/eating anything. Just a reminder in assembling
the eye part canopy which could break if force improperly.
Again you could paint the side if the teeth with black so
it would look better, just dont forget the teeth are sharp
so extra carefull. Articulation for the head is good if the
mouth is close, but when the CPC is out it hinders much of
its movement. Kit Part Rating - 2.5 out of 5
SIDE OPINION: They could design it even better with
a retracting CPC and the shape of the head of the Original,
not the size but atleast the shape. This part is only good
to view at a 3rd person view and the side view.
The Neck
Again nothing expectacular in building the neck, a nice long
tube is popping out which be later be problem(more later).
A much more good design and looks than the orignal. A
noticable change is the lower fin in the neck is now not
moveable compare to the original. Articulation of the neck
is very quite disappointing, it seems the tube renders for
a wide range of movement, the original geno's neck is much
more articulated than this kit.
Kit Part Rating - 2 out of 5.
SIDE OPINION: Good design but with less movement. not good.
The Body
CHEST - It looks like a rib cage of the thingypit is out,
a nice design for the shoulder part, its more stable
that the previous HMM kits with more articulation posible
for the hands. Just handle with care the front black armor
because its too fragile.
Kit Part Rating - 4 out of 5
C-0-C-K-PIT/ZOIDS CORE - i like the design of this part. nothing
else to say but its GOOD.
Kit Part Rating - 4 out of 5
admiN: C-O-C-K PIT is always replace by thingypit
MIDDLE PART & BACK PART - This parts must be glue, the joints
for both parts is so small it will be disassemble once the kit
is built, it cannot hold its weight in some position. Glue it
before connecting it to the other body parts. Again the joint
part for the feet has a very good design better than the
other HMM kits.
Kit Part Rating - 4 out of 5
WHOLE BODY - well most of the body parts rating is high but
the overall is low. The problem is its too straigth, from
top view it just looks like a rectangle
Another problem is assembling all the body parts together
which is hard because of the position of the joints and
the top and bottom tubes are quite not easy to handle.
Kit Part Rating - 2.5 out of 5
SIDE OPINION: The body is stable if you glue some of the
joint parts for each part(not the joint parts for articulation)
The Tail
This part is good, its design resembles the original with more
features, the fins(vents) are a nice addition to the tail's
design.Being able to deploy/open this fins is a nice gimmick.
The only downside is assembling it hard especially in the tip
of the tail. Articulation is good, you can also position the
tail heading an upward position.
Kit Part Rating - 4.5 out of 5
SIDE OPINION: No more no less
The Hands
The claws are sharp, very sharp. Assembling it is easy, but
eventaully you forgot the claws are sharp so you may
accidentally hold it once in a while. You may paint the claws
and some hydralics for more detail but its fine as it is.
Kit Part Rating - 4 out of 5
SIDE OPINION: The claws are not as big as the original but
its size is proportion for the body.
The Legs
I know not everyone will agree but the legs are good. The
design is very good indeed. Assembling it is not that hard
its just long because because of some detail parts that
need assemble. Acticulation is not that stiff and not too
loose compare to the other HMM. The feet claws are also sharp
so be carefull in assembly. The main clamp in the feet must
be glue to it would not be remove if you deploy it. Two
other clamps where included for each foot so this legs can
support the whole kit.
Kit Part Rating - 5 out of 5
SIDE OPINION: Even though the design is good, the only
part that is connecting the feet and the legs is a diagonal
hydraulics which in my opinion will the hold the entire
weight of the Genosaurer.
The weapon
No skills require to build this part, just read the manual
and snap them together. you could panel line or paint some
parts but its fine as it is
Kit Part Rating - 4 out of 5
SIDE OPINION: Good
