ouch. if that would be the case then i suggest you "lube" them... apply a small amount of vicks vaporub and wipe with a cloth to distribute it around the joint area. dont put too much or you'll end up with floppy joints. I'm cool with just a 'stand at attention in the shelf' pose. I think the stiff joints were designed to hold the weight of the limb PLUS whatever weapon pack you load the mech with. That's one feature I love with the AC mechs -- additional weapon packs that can be mounted on the upper torso/limbs.

true. but i have trouble picking which weapon set i should get since there so many to choose from. I've only assembled 01 to 03 thought I still have yet to mount them on an AC unit. At the moment, my opinion would be biased to weapon set 02 simply because my Alt Nemesis Prime digs the gun ;D i14.photobucket.com/albums/a302/zephon_s774/Transformers/DSC00143.jpgThe rifles look interesting as well when combined with BT/Alts but I'm not too crazy about them unless I get a BT/Alt that can turn its wrist to cradle the front of the rifle. A one-handed hold on a rifle looks to schwarzeneger/rambo-ish for a TF mech. i14.photobucket.com/albums/a302/zephon_s774/Transformers/DSC00165.jpgI lost the link of the website but what that person did to his AC units was that he bought and mounted 2 of the same weapon set on his AC units

I was just wondering, did anyone try to paint one of these kit? Just curious on how did they had a "faded paint effect" on the kit (look at the foot portion).

Nope, I haven't painted either one of my 2 Gaea kits. I'm not much of a kit painter.
The parts came in a metalic finish so I guess the only way to properly paint these kits would be by using metalic paint as well. I mean you can't use your usual gundam finish on these things!

But from the looks of it I find armored core kits to be more difficult to paint compared to the gundam kits.
Must be the details. ;D

Added pics of AC-002 Crest on page 1 of the post!
I also added a couple of mix and match pics where I mixed the Mirage and the Crest kit.

im getting interested to AC kits. the details on the kit looks so great plus i like the idea of multiple weapon/head/arm unit add ons which adds variety despite the lack of number of available mechs kits. the only donwside for me is the hands. parang old NG 1/144 gundam hand w/c is bad. i hope they improve that part..
