BATMAN - VEHICLESSince this is a banner year for the Batman Franchise, I thought this to be an opportune time to dig up my batman toys. I always did love batman's gadgets but none ever impressed me as much as the various batmobiles he's used over the years. Tim Burton's Batman movie was released in 1989 if I remember correctly. Unfortunately, that was a few years before I started toy collecting. When I did finally begin collecting, one of the focused lines I looked at was Batman, more specifically batmobiles! Here, you will notice that most of the vehicles I've collected over the years are movie version vehicles. Understandably, there is just too much batman stuff out there. Too much for me to collect in a lifetime so I opted for these to tide me over! The "Legends" Batmobile. I always liked this one as it looked like a bulky roadster. My only gripe is that they should have done this in black. After all, it is batman, right?I got this from the cousin of a friend. I was so surprised to see that the toy was still intact as the box had some serious wear. This "cocoon" actually is among 3 things that give the Toybiz batmobile its identity, making it unique from the Kenner version! The second quality that makes the Toybiz Batmobile unique is the open canopy. Its not movie accurate but is still a sight to see. After all, most batmobiles had open canopiesThe third quality is that this batmobile is among the few action figure sized vehicles that has enough space for 2 figures!Batmobile from Batman Forever (the one with Val Kilmer)The Batwing from Batman ForeverClooney's BatmobileThe infamous "purple" batmobile of Mattel. At first glance, it looks black. When bright light hits it, the true dark purple color becomes visible. This is the clean version! There is another purple BB Batmobile that has light silver paint streaks to simulate "battle damage"Battle Gear Batman is at the wheel! Its a snug fit but I like it that way! It would be a pain to have the figure bouncing all over the place.Amazingly, Mattel recovered by producing a more movie accurate batmobile--all black with the exception of some copper colored accents.Pictured with this black beauty is the Collectors Edition Batman.Incidentally, even with the cape, he fits just fine in the c0ckp|t. One just has to be careful not to ruin the cape!

STAR TREKThis is probably the most fantastic Star Trek starship toy ever made. Although produced more than 25 years earlier, in many ways it puts the Playmates line to shame. This was manufactured by the South Bend Toy Company in 1979, to coincide with the launch of the refitted U.S.S. Enterprise from Star Trek: The Motion Picture. The ship is about 18" long and molded in white plastic. It came packaged with labels to apply yourself and a translucent red stand. The saucer under the impulse engines and part of the dorsal is thickened and a 9V battery fits inside. The "impulse deflection crystal" is a on/off dial that controls the sound effects. It's a waveform that changes pitch and speed with the dial - from a warp-drive throb to a red-alert alarm to the whine of a firing phaser. While this pales in comparison to the recorded clips produced by the Playmates starship line in the 1990s it's cute and campy, in a retro sort of way. The labels are only vague approximations of the actual markings on the ship - for example, the large Starfleet emblem on the sides of the secondary hull. The airlocks have intricate transparent labels around them, and the windows on the botanical gardens are called out by decals as well. There are 39 opaque labels, 13 transparent labels, and one foil label for the photon torpedo launcher. Overall, it's a fair representation of the ship, although it has some interesting and unusual protrusions visible from the bottom side visible of the attached photos. The protrusions are what make the South Bend Enterprise an incredible toy - the ship is modular, and can be taken apart and reassembled in several different configurations! The pieces are: Primary Hull (saucer) Secondary Hull (engineering) 2 Warp Nacelles (left and right) 2 Nacelle Pylons (left and right) The saucer has two female connections on the port and starboard sides, and one male connection on the dorsal. The engineering hull has one female connection on the dorsal, and two female connections on each side, high and low. Each pylon has one male connector on each end, and each nacelle has a single female connector. All of the connectors are symmetric.

It should have been red/white similar to the AOTC Jedi Starfighter!am still missing the other Anakin's Jedi Starfighter, the one that looks like the starfighter crossed with a podracer! If you know of any for sale, let me know! ;D TRU Exclusive Anakin's Jedi Starfighter w/ Anakin Pilot and Commander BacaraCollections 1&2 of the ROTS Deluxe Figures!ROTS Deluxe Collection 3Battle Arena Dooku vs. AnakinBattle Arena Sidious vs. MaceI thought putting the ARC Trooper alongside the ROTS Clone commander looked quite nice! The AT-TE gunner will have to stay with the gunship until Hasbro gifts us with an actual AT-TE!Check out the red arc trooper! It was hard to find that one -- Thanks Vic! Doesn't it look great next to the ROTS red clone commander?I got kinda annoyed with the AT-RT driver since it had such little articulation and was more of a decorative piece than a real figure so I thought of using the ROTS clone trooper. As you can see, he fits quite nicely.Grievous with Durge and Aurra Sing. What a motley crew!I got a complete set of the Entertainment Earth AOTC Super Articulated clone troopers. Pictured here are the colored clean ones. Looks like my armies are coming along. I'll post pics of the others when I get around to taking them out of the box! The Jedi CouncilAlso took some ROTS jedis and revised my jedi council, removing the original Phantom menace figures. I think the pics speak for themselves. I managed to get the new and improved MR Darth Vader FX Lightsaber. I've put the box alongside my older model. Thank God I had enough pilots to man this thing! It needs 3! Liked the ship so much, got a second one! ROTS #50 Anakin on Mustafar and #23 Royal Guard (blue variant)Assorted carded figures from toycon and weekend hunts - finally got the hard to find red arc trooper!Got an extra TRU Exclusive Jedi Starfighter!500th Vader
