Got this today fresh from the shelves.

First the packaging. Batlle fever comes in standard SOC packaging. Box size is approximately a bit bigger or almost the same as GX-01r. You see Battle Fever in all its glory with Battle Japan (the leader of the team) behind in the background.
Battle Fever Robo come with two trays. First is the styro inset which has the robot and base while the second contains the weapons and extra fists.
I laid out all of Battlefevers weapons along with the vintage one. The ones on top belong to the SOC and the ones in the bottom belong to the vintage one. The SOC version has all the weapons that came with the vintage one.
Lightning Light Sword (Samurai Sword)
Sword Fever 2 pcs (thrwing knives)
Stick Lancer
Attack Lancer Trident (the one with the circle on the end)
Chain Crusher (spiked knuckles)
Fever Axe
Sheild
The SOC version comes with an extra weapon that wasnt included with the vintage one.(Its the weapon beside the Stick Lancer)

Box comparison Vintage vs SOC. They both have Battle Japan in the picture.
In almost all aspects, the SOC version is better than its vintage counterpart except foer one aspect. Die-cast content. The vintage one is loaded with die-cast while the SOC version has only 50% die-cast.
I have no complaints with the possability of the SOC Battle Fever. You can do almost all of the posses int eh box and manual. The vintage one is a brick as you can see. Battle Fever Robo is supposed to be a samurai based mecha so the appeal of this mech lies on its agility and ability to move like a samurai. The SOC version gives justice to its TV counterpart by giving it the articulation it deserves.
Bigger, better, badder!!! The details on the sheild are just awesome!!!!
All in all this is one bad-a$$ mech. My only complaint is that Bandai gave this toy poor plastic quality making it really lightweight and somewhat hollow. Still the detail and articulation on it is simply amazing! For newbie Sentai collectors, this is a good starter piece. It has everything you'd want in a Sentai toy. Big props on its show accuracy and playability.
