Uhm.. I assume we're talking about the original Shin Getter 1, not the more recent Shin Getter from the Oni battles?
A. They're both Anime Accurate, The
red one comes from the original "Shin Getter Robo:The Last Day" ("Shin Getter Robo: Armageddon" in the ADV Films US dub)
The
white one comes from "Shin Getter Versus Neo Getter" (a different "alternate reality" setting, both OVAs are set in totally unrelated realities from the original Getter Robo series.. or so I've heard).
B. (see A.)
C. It's called a limited repaint because Aoshima only released limited quantities of it (it's the first "reissued" Shin Getter if I remember right).
The standard number of releases for Aoshima gokins is around 3000-5000 units supposedly. The original SG-01 Shin Getter only had 3000 units released if I remember right. The "limited" white chested repaint is around 1500 units I think.
Note that the "limited" white chest version has a "pearl finish". As for preference I still prefer the original released Shin Getter One.
Also note that the upcoming "double winged" Shin Getter is rumored to have "weathered" (matte?) paint finish.
Here's a video clip of Shin Versus Neo Getter (sorry if it takes a long while to load up)
