Exactly six month before the posting of this thread, I began to take interest in collecting Transformers toy, especially in collecting Optimus Primes/ Primals (Convoys).
My collecion began with four figures.
- A complete Beast Wars II: LioConvoy.
- A good condition RID: Scourge (Black Convoy) without his Trailer
- An incomplete Beast Wars Optimus Primal (No Beast and Mutant Head)
- An incomplete Beast Wars Transmetal Optimus Primal (No Robot Head)
These fours figures began an exciting and enlightening journey for me, a journey I would have never thought I would finish this quickly.
I may sound melodramatic but the past six month I've spent searching and hunting for my convoy list lead to me numerous paths that has taught me, in one way or the other, great lessons that I may use not just as a toycollector but as for life as well.
From my words you may think I have a lot in this Convoy list, but in fact these are actually only 18 figures. But each toy has a story.

Comments: The first convoy I ever got. This item was purchased from BLACK (Ron) of PToys. In a way it was this TF that inspired me to get collect Primes.
Name: Beast Convoy (Optimus Primal)
Alt Mode: Gorilla
Series: Beast Wars
Comments: My favorite Animal-Alt Mode TF. The first Beast Convoy I got was from bought from V-Toys (Owned by Vic Yap) in Greenhills. The item did not have a Gorilla Head and I bought the item knowing that it is incomplete (I was impressed by the Robot form). It took some months but I was able to get another Beast Convoy from Roman of Johnson's Shop in Greenhills. The new Beast Convoy had the the beast and mutant head except some panels found on its back. Fortunately, the old beast convoy had all the panels that the new beast convoy lacks. So in short, I was able to get a complete Beast Convoy.
Name: Black Convoy (RID Scourge)
Alt Mode: Oil Tanker
Series: Robots In Disguise (Car Robots)
Comments: The first Truck Convoy I ever had. I was so impressed in this toy that I had to review him, leading me to review more and more TF toys. This convoy was bought through Black (Ron) of PToys along with an Armada Powelinx Prime (which I sold). This was added to my Convoy list, since Black Convoy is a recolor of G2 Laser Prime, the most poseable Pre-Beast era Convoy.
Name: Powered Metals Convoy (Optimal Optimus)
Alt Mode: Cybernetic Gorilla, Air Assault Vehicle, Land Assault Vehicle
Series: Beast Wars: Metals (Beast Wars Transmetal)
Comments: Much like my Beast Convoy, my First Optimal Optimus (OpOp) was very incomplete. I bought the convoy from Rampart of GT and RandomToys (I was made aware before hand the extent of OpOp's incompleteness
). After a few months I have encountered a bootleg OpOP and I used its parts for Rampart's OpOp. A few months later, I encountered a seller in Bidshot who sold a Complete OpOp. The OpOp in the picture is from the seller in Bidshot. As for my Old OpOP, I may just repaint it to another color.
Name: STD Convoy (Armada Optimus Prime)
Alt Mode: Monster Rig Truck.
Series: Micron Legend (Armada)
Comments: A deluxe size transformers dubbed as "Bendy Prime" due to its super-poseability. Also known dubbed "Monster Convoy" due to its unique form of the truck. This convoy was bought from Greattoys Makati (Owned by Malvin Lim) along with a bootleg G2 Laser Prime. Originally this was the only Prime that I wanted to get, but since I already started it, I ended up getting the rest as well.
Name: Battle Convoy (Laser Prime)
Alt Mode: Oil Tanker
Series: Generation 2
Comments: A knock-off version of G2 Laser Prime, it does not have the electronics, but it has its own trailer. I repainted this toy to match the color scheme of G1 Prime. This convoy was bought from Greattoys Makati (Owned by Malvin Lim) along with an Armada Optimus Prime (deluxe). This was my first try at fixing TF toys.
Name: Fire Convoy (RID Optimus Prime)
Alt Mode: Fire Truck
Series: Car Robots (Robots in Disguise)
Comments: The first Convoy I bought overseas. This convoy was bought through Ebay from a seller in Germany. This is one of my most favorite Prime in my collection.
Name: Blast Punch Optimus Primal
Alt Mode: Cybernetic Gorilla
Series: Beast Machines
Comments: A bit rare Optimus Primal toy since it was released at the end of the series which meant stores weren't keen on getting these anymore. This primal is one of my best deals to date, I bought it along with an incomplete Waspinator and a TM2 Black Arachnia and it was priced at 700 php for the three figures. This toy was bought through Ebay from a seller in the US.
Name: Nemesis Prime
Alt Mode: Mammoth
Series: Transformers: Universe
Comments: Recolored from Big Convoy, this TF is one of the most rarest Primes in my list since first of all this was not release in the Philippines. To be honest, I never expected to get one of these. This convoy was bought through Ebay from a seller in the US.
Name: Metals Convoy (Optimus Primal)
Alt Mode: Cybernetic Gorilla
Series: Beast Wars: Metals (Beast Wars Transmetal)
Comments: After being exposed to a dangerous high amount of Energon, Optimus Primal was transformed into Cybernetic Gorilla, giving him more power and totally altering his physical appearance. This convoy was one of the last convoys of my target list, since this toy is still available in the Philippines. This convoy was bought from BLACK (Ron) from PToys.
Name: ConvoBat (Optimus Primal)
Alt Mode: Bat
Series: Beast Wars
Comments: This was needed since this is the first ever Optimus Primal toy to be created (How he upgraded from Bat to Gorilla, is anyone's guess, I personally don't card. :lol: ) Just need him to complete my lists. This primal(bat?) was bought through Protoform-S (Stephen) of Greattoys-Online.
Name: Scourge (Nemesis Prime)
Alt Mode: Monster Rig Truck
Series: Micron Legend (Armada)
Comments: Recolored from STD Convoy, this TF is also one of the rarest Primes in my list since first of all this was not release in the Philippines. This one was ordered 3 months before I actually held the item. This convoy was bought through Ebay from a seller in the US.

Alt Mode: Semi-Truck
Series: Superlink (Energon)
Comments: Also known as "Fatimus" Prime, since his body looks bloated compared to his limbs. However, while in Super-mode or combined with any other TF, his "fatimus" figure will not be visible. This convoy was bought through Ebay from a seller in the US.
Name: Battle Convoy (Hero Prime)
Alt Mode: Tractor-Truck
Series: Generation 2
Comments: This convoy is the rare G2 Hero Prime, that was reported to have reached $150 US (mint). I got this for 250 Php. Though damaged and incomplete, this was still a great find since I abandoned searching for this a few months ago when I knew the price for this thing far exceeded my budget. But as fate may have it, I WAS MEANT to get one after all. This convoy was bought from Zeek666 (Arlan) of PTK and was coursed through Bidshot. Alt Mode: Cybernetic Gorilla
Series: Beast Machines
Comments: First TF to have articulated fingers. This TF is rare because of its size and enjoyability alone. This is one of those Primals that got me hunting relentlessly, this was due to the fact that even in E-bay seeing an auction for an RID Air Attack Optimus Primal was rare. This was the last figure I bought before I got my credit card cancelled. This convoy was bought through Ebay from a seller in the US.
Name: Beast Machines Deluxe Optimus Primal
Alt Mode: Cybernetic Gorilla
Series: Beast Machines
Comments: The ugliest Primal in existence. He looks more like Rhinox that Primal. Just to complete the set, I had to get him. This convoy was bought from Manual Tan, a seller in the Philippines.
Name: Big Convoy
Alt Mode: Mammoth
Series: Beast Wars Neo
Comments: The last Convoy that was retrieved in the six month period. This is the only Sonokong TF I have. I made this the last figure I will get since I lost the chance to get this before (May-June) since I had financial problems during that time. This convoy was bought from Greattoys Greenhills (owned by Malvin Lim).

Convoys for the Future
At this point I am looking forward to getting a Galaxy Convoy and I am still looking for a representative Convoy for the G1 era. Though there is the overly charismatic MP-01, its price keeps me away from it and its quite large. One day I may find myself getting one, but certainly it would not be anytime soon. (Unless I could get it for lower than 2900 php
)
There is also RM-01 and its bootleg counterparts, but the Original and Light-up RM-01 is quite too small. I may wait for the 9-inch RM-01 Knock-off made from China.
Well as for now, we'll just see what the next six months awaits for me and my Convoys.
