getsugatenshou: i never bother to check GT's online store for the same reason you stressed out. What i usually do is ask somebody from manila to do the scouting for me, though most (roughly 80%) of my macross collection i bought overseas [Toy-wave (which i think is one of GT's supplier of toys), Transfiguration toys and HLJ)]
glad to know another cebuano whose into this toy line.. where in cebu are you?
mias: thanks bro.. been over a year since i last visited the shop hehehe for err some reasons, and i'm kinda hooked up with another hobby so toy collecting's been partly on hiatus.. but we do hang out over BTC from time to time with fellow cebuano collectors.

as much as i'm a die-hard fan of the 1/48 Scale VF-1.. i would suggest you get the version 2 1/60 VF-1 mechs.. that's if you're gunning for the SDF/DRYL Valks.. for Mac Zero Valks.. stay away from the stand-alone VF-0 issues.. and first G. Ivanov SV-51.. nora and CF type already have the necessary fixes. for Mac Plus.. YF-21 (personally) has been the best toy yamato ever issued, in as far as quality and lineart accuracy is concern. hope that helps.. goodluck bro

i am an "aethetic type" collector of which i find happiness with just plainly looking at my toys, even the mere sight of some pile of boxes over my room's good enough to make my day.. Year 2008, i started trying out stuff that would compliment with my macross collection, took out some of the valkyries, and just felt the need to showcase them further.. so came the mechanical chain base idea and some 1/48 model kit aircraft crew. This year, i thought of taking it to the next level, and do a scratch build diorama for my DRYL valks.. basically "we" were working on creating this: took around a week, before i finished a 1/144 scale scratch build launch arm.. this will only serve as a guide since i intended to make one for a 1/48 Yamato Valkyrie:

did some changes: - Finger Plate Area change with reference to the line-art - Clamp/Fingers shortened instead of my initial plan of having it angled - Discarded the Acrylic reinforcement - Discarded Clamp articulation, a small metal c clamp, hidden below the finger plate was used in lieu of the acrylic holder.. basically it's holding the valks back part addition: - Signal Arm Made - added details on the launch wrist part - applied decals so.. this is basically my completed ARMD Launch Arm and Base (sorry mods.. flicker doesn't have a thumbnail link as far as i know, so i opted to post here the reduced "medium res" pics)
